While some reviews about the size of site 134 had me concerned, I was pleasantly surprised upon arriving at the site. Yes, it may be one of the smaller sites, but it's perfect for a group of 1-3. My 4-person tent fit perfectly on the tent pad. Yes, the fire pit is situated in a way that puts you in direct line of your neighbors at 135, but to say that the sites are too close is inaccurate. As far as your tent goes, I simply turned my tent to face the river. From inside my tent it was like I was the only person in the area. I had no view of my neighbor's tent at all, and I just watched and listened to the flow of the river (which you have direct access to from this site). As a solo camper, it was perfect for me to enjoy some time in my own space. The entire Lodgepole campground is gorgeous.

After devastating fires last couple years, why does NPS allow any open fires in campground now matter what the elevation. Complete fire ban or fuel stoves at most best choice.Charred trees within mile of campground mandate no open fires....just ridiculous.ctwoolley

Just by the river, can play the rocks in the water, a small water fall near the site. Quite and shade at site. Saw brilliant starts at night and a deer at morning.

Campground is beautiful. Sites are close together but the layout is good. Clean restrooms. The store is lacking a bit, and most produce had seen better days- come prepared. Long lines just to buy a bundle of wood or bag of ice. Fantastic location. Amazing experience.

We had a riverfront campground. It was beautiful...but way too close to a neighboring campsite. We weren't able to sleep until 2 am since the next site over's firepit was about 8 ft from our tent platform.

Great campground! Well-selected sites with ample water and beatboxes. Clean. Shuttle service is awesome too. I was there to hike the HST- caught the first shuttle and was at Crescent Meadow by 9:00.
