The whole site is slanted and very hard to find a place to put a tent. People stayed up late playing music. Great location next to General Sherman Tree

Site is NOT level and in very close proximity to other sites. I had the unfortunate luck that a large group had reserved several sites on the same loop and parties every night till about 2am. The rangers only came by during the day twice and reminded the group of the rules which they obviously ignored. I wish groups like this would be made to leave after 3 strikes and banned for a certain period of time of being able to make any reservations. Besides that, site was clean, toilet were tiny and ok, water is heavily chlorinated.

Clean, quiet and space

Site was very nice and large. It was not level though. There were deer visiting our campsite, which was great! We did love the place!

Had site 19 the first night. Was horrible. So many ants and foxtail plants. I had a dog so he could not really move around or sniff. No shade 90% of the day. Was so hot could not relax at camp. Next 3 nights were site 12. More shade but site was on hillside type and table firepit on different levels away from each other. Overall it is a small family campground

We reserved and stayed for 3 nights and campsite #12. The campground itself was very nice- sites spaced far apart and enough privacy. But this particular campsite suffers from a lack of level areas for our 5 to 6 person tent. Nothing in the description of the site online warned us of this. Subsequently, our family slid downhill while sleeping. Another major problem is that we saw zero rangers patrolling during our entire visit. I've never experienced not seeing a ranger in a campground in my fifty years of camping in state parks or national parks on the east and west coasts. We had neighbors who were VERY loud, day and night until at least 10:30 p.m. There were 3-4 families in one campsite yelling constantly, and the kids were running through everyone's campsites. I had to tell them when quiet hours were- this is a ranger's job. The other serious and potentially disastrous problem is that campers had camp fires going during a camp fire ban. The only reason I didn't try to contact a ranger is that there was absolutely no wind. If there had been a wind, it would have been a different story. I appreciate the hard work that goes into all the behind-the-scenes to make the campground nice. I'm sure there is a lot of work that goes into making repairs and upkeep. But please, please try harder to patrol the campgrounds and educate people to make everyone's experience better and safer. Thank you.
