It's a very nice camping area. Not a whole lot of level ground anywhere as it's on a hillside, but all the neighbors were quite friendly and there was a pleasant "good morning" feel to it all.

This site is awful! It is small and directly across from a much larger site (which encourages large groups and lots of noise). When we arrived and saw our site, there was no where level for a tent, no trees to even hang a hammock. The public water faucet was so close it looked like part of the site. The campsite across from it was big and we thought it might be a group site at first because there lots of tents, tables, and 3 cars there. The sites are limited to 6 people, we saw at least 7. They were blasting their music and had set up at least 2 additional tables to accompany the existing picnic table. No one in our group felt safe staying in this tiny site because of how rowdy the group across from us was being. We searched for a campground host or anyone who worked there who might enforce the rules - but no one was around to help. We left without staying the night and went and found another site at Sunset Campground. Sunset Campground was so much better!

A nice uphill tent spot. There was water available at the site, the bathroom was close (but not too close), and easy in and out of the campground loop. The parking pad was a bit slanted, making it a tricky spot for car camping, and the tent pad was directly next to the bear box, making me feel a little iffy about my safety. Not a lot of privacy due to proximity to the main road and bathroom, but a short wall of Manzantia provided a wind-block from down the hill and a nice spot to hang low lighting. Overall, an easy stay in a beautiful place. Grant Grove was a short hike down the trail from the campground, but we opted to drive.

Wayne and Judy were awesome! Firm but fair and actually cared what was going on at the campground. Very clean and quiet. Interesting campground because there were several spectacular camp spots, and some that I would never want to camp in campsites. The whole gamut. I always wonder why they dont even try to level the actual trailer parking spots before they pave them

Such a beautiful place!! I was at 3 different sites and they were all nice and leveled. A good mix of sun (for my solar) and shade.

Great campsite! Flat ground to setup tent next to fire pit, remaining portion of the site is on a slope. No neighbors too close compared to other sites in the campground. Conveniently close to the bathroom but not too close to hear people all the time. Would be more than happy to get this site again.

Quiet stay on Azalea. Lower loops were closed due to flooding risk. Restrooms basic but clean. Pad was not level

We stayed in site #26 and had a great experience. It is near the bathroom, trash bin, ash collection station, camp host, and water spigot. I heard a toilet flush once in the middle of the night, but it wasnt a constant thing. I think any closer to the bathroom would be too noisy though. This site is good for a small tent or camper in the parking spur. Our tent is 9x12 and we had a little trouble finding a good spot for it. There was lots of space but it was a bit sloped. The flattest spot was right next to a sequoia, which was lovely, but not the safest place for a tent in case of falling branches. A 4-person dome tent would probably fit between the fire pit and bear box. There is pizza available in nearby Grant Grove village if you dont feel like cooking. We didnt try it but it smelled great. Not a smell I am accustomed to encountering in a campground and it definitely made me crave pizza!

We had very nice sites & enjoyed our hikes to the General Grant Grove and to the Grant Grove visitor center and village.
