It was clean, quiet, and surrounded by many trees, making tent camping a comfortable experience. It was a great place to relax. However, the only disappointment was the lack of electrical facilities for charging large batteries.

Spots are great for a tent, but we are in a van. Ground not level. Our neighbors left due to rain so we took their spot as it was a bit more level.

Beautiful setting in the forest, big campsites, verry clean bathrooms, great location in the middle of the two parks

A lot of people rave about the 60s and how this is the spot to be. To be fair, I didnt like any of the 60s. People were extremely loud well past the hours of noise and this specific site was completely slanted that our rv was at an angle and you could feel it. This one was said to be secluded in one of the reviews, that is completely false. Do not book this one if you have an rv of any sort. It was nearly impossible getting into this site as its basically connected to 2 other ones and at some weird angle. If you have a hook up or a tent, perfect, dont get this one if you have a 25+ ft rv. Trust me.

This was my first time in Kings Canyon National Park. I stayed in 68, and was excellent spot. Although this wasn't tent only, only smaller RVs and camper vans around, and very quiet. Very close tot he bathroom and wash basin, which were always kept very clean. Although the whole lot was on a gentle slope, there was enough spots for three 2-person tents, and trees for three hammocks. I loved the big open space behind our site. Spacious and very private. Many of our neighbors had kids, and they were exploring there within safe distance of parents' view. Very short beautiful walk to the Grant Tree and Sequoia grove and visitor center. I'll come back to this camp ground again.

Great location. Really night camp sites.

This was the first time I went camping, and it wont be the last. This site is a cute little corner, and is good for 2-4 people. There is space for one large tent, and a couple spots for tiny tents. It is on a slope, but it is very close to the bathroom and trash bins. I really enjoyed it.

Pretty decent campground. Bathrooms are generally clean and have lights at night. They have buckets and tools etc for fire pit ash if it fills up. Confusing layout with a lot of small one-way loops so pay attention to the signs. A couple of the sites are right next to the restrooms so check that on the map before reserving. Many are on a slope - 68 was doable with a single tent but the whole rest of the site was on the hill. Some RV'ers around us had difficulty getting their rigs level but eventually figured it out. They didn't have soap or paper towels in the restrooms for whatever reason so bring your own. They do have a dishwashing sink at each restroom so bring your own dish soap as well (note: no garbage disposal). They apparently allow burning the downed wood around the campground (or at least didn't tell anyone to stop) - and there's plenty of it, especially if you bring a saw. The campground is also walking distance to Sunset campground which actually does have a hillside with an excellent view of the sunset - highly recommended. It's also walking distance to the stores and visitor center.

This campground is one of the best I've ever been to in the NPS system. It's absolutely gorgeous. Make sure to check out the Grant Grove early in the morning which is only a few minutes drive away. The convenience store and restaurant near the campground are also top-notch. I will definitely stay at this campground again!
