Whether you decide to stay at the top loop which is completely wooded which provides plenty of shade, or the lower loop which is open, you’re going to love this campground. No matter what site you choose, there is plenty of space, an abundance of wildlife to watch, and a peaceful atmosphere.

The campground host and attendants are always helpful and friendly.

There is no direct lake access at the campground itself, but there smiths ridge boat ramp and beach or Emerald Isle marina and boat ramp are both seconds away.

I enjoyed it being remote. I would like to see them lessen the lighting around the bathrooms. They light up the campground for 5-7 spots, remind me of search lights or non-moving light house lights. Kills the star gazing!!!

green river has always been my favorite lake but this was my 1st time at Smith Ridge. the man and woman running the camp ground were so nice and i loved how the spots in loop A are shaded ! had 1 problem when the power hook up shorted out but the gentleman in charge was very nice and let us borrow his converter so we could still have power on the last night. we were in site 30A only thing i didn't like about it was that the electric hook up was at the front of the site instead of the back like lots of the others are so we had to park are camper closer to the road leaving no were to park our truck other than that everything was perfect !
