The camp hosts were very friendly. The campground was very clean and beautiful. We have camped ere several times and is one of our favorite campgrounds. The bath house by Fisherman's Row needs to be updated and the showers need to be sanitized better to ensure the floors do not have germs on them. The views of Lake Barkley are beautiful from different areas of the campground. I would give the Canal Campground a 4 out of 5 rating.

This was a clean quiet camp grounds. The sites are large and paved. The bath house had hot water and good pressure. We enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Beautiful place to stay but they need to work on the shower house and bathrooms . The one at fisherman row the toilets did not flush and was a mess .

My family and I love this campsite. It is easy to back into and we are close to the bathhouse. It is relatively flat and we only needed to raise the right side of the camper about a half inch to be level. We had plenty of room for our grandchildren to play around the campsite. We try to get this campsite every year.

Check in was supposed to be a three p.m. We sat at the boat parking lot until 4'oclock because the people who had our site the previous week had not vacated. The gate folks told them check out wa three p.m., didnt seem to matter to them. They never went to the gate to check out, just moved their camper to another site, in someone elses name. This isn't the first time , these same folks have done this. The reservation set-up can be scammed to easily.

The Fisherman's Row loop was very quiet and had plenty of shade. Walking the park was easy. The views of the canal are pretty basic, but if you go over to the side of the camp on Lake Barkley, you see a completely different view that is spectacular.Watch for golf carts - everywhere!

Great place! Clean, hot showers. Large, shady sites. Would be awesome if we had a boat. Only complaint is the beach has a lot of clay once you go out a couple feet, but not much they can do about that.

Nice campground with a variety of size spots. Most all spots are back in but vary widely in level or depth. Our motorhome is 44 feet overall so be careful picking your spot. Most sites are heavily shaded so don't bank on satellite reception. Water and 50 amp at each site and dump station near entrance. We would visit again. The nearby town has a nice restaurant and walk around shopping.
