The experience was great! Our family did normal camping for relaxation and rest. The only 2 things that I seen that needed improvement was a larger site to place a 10 to 12 person tent. Most sites was to small to use a tent that size leaving a few sites that accommodated, thus making me purchase another smaller tent. The other thing was at 6 every morning while we was sleeping the person cleaning the restrooms using a leaf blower causing all of us to wake up earlier than expected. Maybe use the leaf blower at 7am instead of 6am.

Everything about our stay was great except the fact that there is no parking down by a portion of the lake that we used for fishing and kayaking. It was not close to our campground. We did park on the grass and were told by a lady camp host we couldn't park there and to move to the side of the road. We moved only to have a very rude man, camp host come by and yell at us. He told us not we could not park on the side of the road. We asked if we could just park in an empty camp spot (obviously we would move if someone came) and he was so rude and said if we wanted to pay for that spot! I told him we were to far from our camp and what did he want us to do, he said "to bad, walk" We have never ever encountered such a hostile rude old man, ever camping! Not sure I will go back to this campground with mean camp hosts.

The nices and most well-kept park we have ever stayed at the lake. Grand Rivers, KY just down the road for a great night out to eat at Patti's 1880 settlement restaurant. We will be back soon in the spring.

Canal is always clean, safe and beautiful. zwe have since moved away to Florida but we will find time to get back to KY and Canal will be our first choice!
