Wonderful park will visit again someday. It was after labor day so other than weekends not much going on. Many businesses are only open on the weekend which is a bit disappointing.

We LOVE the canal! And enjoy the friendly park attendants that we see while camping there.

Certain areas of the campground have fire rings that are not in the best place (big flat area that is all concrete). I realize that the rings wouldn't be conducive on the concrete, but behind the campers and near the tree line isn't great either.Shower house was nice - very hot water.

This was our first trip to Canal Campground. The check-in process was pretty easy to navigate. Access to our campsite (BRPT 89) was OK. Our campsite was pretty close to our neighbors, but they were respectful of our privacy. I am not sure why a campsite two sites away from ours had sewer and others in the same area didn't? Seems that this would be an easy upgrade. The campground was very well maintained and very clean. We did utilize the bathhouse near our campsite and found it to be sufficient. Upon departure, I did appreciate the three separate dump station options. Would also liked to have seen more hiking trails in and around the campsite instead of having to drive to LBL, but not that far.

Spacious, level sites. Picnic table & side table for bbqing were very sturdy. Camp hosts were amazing & checked on us when we had call 911 for a friend.
