Golf Carts, Golf Carts and Golf Carts.Way too many riding around thru each camp section. Young kids driving them that should not be. We even saw a teenager taking one and doing quick laps around the D wash house trying to get it to spin outs after a rain. In the past we used to be able to walk thru each camp section and only get over a few times for a vehicle. Now you can't even walk thru the area because you need to get over and let the parade of golf carts go past. So much for a quiet peaceful time at the lake. Needs to have a fee/rule that will limit them and make them only use them to go from place to place instead of just riding around all the time.Only other issue was the grass was way too tall. The entire 2 weeks the grass around the campsites never got cut or trimmed up. We had a jungle trying to walk from D2 to the lake.

The increase in golf carts/side by sides in the campgrounds is concerning. We have camped at this campground for decades, and it is one of our favorites. However, we were unable to enjoy the peace and quiet of camping due to the constant traffic from these "vehicles". I understand the need for them in some cases, ie: mobility impaired patrons, etc. The over allowance of these vehicles also cause a problem with campers bringing them on a utility trailer, then parking these trailers in the overflow parking, eliminating the availability of boat trailer parking, or parking for an extra vehicle. Most also do not have turn signals, horns, mirrors, etc, making them dangerous in the congested driving situation that they cause. Other Corps of Engineer districts require golf carts to be street legal, meeting certain criteria before being allowed in the campground. This should be enforced in all districts.

Campsites are nice and staff is friendly.
Glad to see the camp store is back up and running with friendly staff available to help and take recommendations. Golf carts are a pain in the butt. Always riding around at all times of the day and night. Even had them go thru after midnight with bright LED lights shining through your windows. At times even young kids are driving them that shouldn't be. Glad to see the D area bath house received a new roof. Still could use new paint inside on walls and ceiling.
