Baileys Point is an absolutely gorgeous campground. It saddens me to see it fall into such disrepair. We go there often because our in-laws have a boat stored there. The campsites store has been closed for the past three years. More often than not we have issues with our electric. Imagine coming in from a long day at the lake only to find your power is off. The campsites are becoming overgrown with weeds. Grass is only mowed every 2-3 weeks. Such a shame because it truly is a gem. I can only hope that it will be given the attention it needs and deserves.

While the lack of a full time manager at Bailey's for 2024 seems like a challenge, it still works well with the volunteer hosts, at least for the opening weekend. Our site was clean and ready for use, and as usual, the bath houses were clean and ready for use. Appears mowing will happen on schedule (they started early on Monday morning). And as previously experience at Bailey's, the campground was full over the week end and like a ghost town by Monday morning. :)
