My wife and I had a wonderful time at site #095. We found the campsite to be very comfortable with all utilities working as expected. We found cell reception to be good and anything we needed could be found at the nearby town of Marion. Special kudos go out to the volunteer groundskeeper Harold, who went above and beyond to make sure our grass was cut, and site was clean. This is a great place to camp, being retired, we appreciate the clean, quiet, and spacious quality of Cottonwood Point and would recommend.

Nice lakeside site. Love the concrete floored, covered picnic table area.Gas, food and shops in nearby Marion.

The campsite was okay but the bench at the picnic table closest to the RV pad is loose on one end. Bolts loose. Also only having 4 days prior to wanting to camp to reserve the site is ridiculous, very bad policy.

We have been coming to Cottonwood Point for at least 12 years. This year has been a VERY off year. The vibes have really changed there since they don't have a camp host anymore. Finally have the major floods a couple years ago sites 79-93 are somewhat camp-able. Last weekend 49-58 were flooded and they shut that entire side down so we couldn't access the boat dock. This boat dock is the nicest boat dock around. We had to use a couple others that were quite dangerous and put our boat in jeopardy. I have no idea why they couldn't just close the campsite (clearly under water) but allow people to access the docks. The other MAJOR pain is Marion Reservoir always has issues with Blue Green Algae. I think we'll take a break for awhile. :(

We love to camp at Cottonwood Point and really enjoyed #95 where we parked.

We had a great time.
It was a little difficult to back into the spot due to the culvert and signs, but we managed.
We did have an issue with the 50 amp and had to use 30 amp, but we did not need the ACs for that weekend as it was cool.

Restrooms were not clean, but everything else was great. Park hosts did a great job.

Cottonwood is a great place to camp. I did not give 5 stars because there is a first come first serve policy, for many sites there, and it is a really bad policy. I drove up 3 times from Wichita and could not get the sites I wanted. The best way to fairly get the sites you want is make reservations. Some sites offer reservations, just not all.
