The site was great we were off grid and a little off by ourselves so peaceful. Bathrooms are nice except the lights are on a motion timer and it always would go off just as I was getting dressed, so if after sundown was really dark! Another 5 minutes and it would have been fine.

Council grove is a charming town with lots to take in! Lake is beautiful! A slice of Americana!

It was really hard to find the campsite. Only a few loops are well-marked. You can’t use a pin from the campsite map. The loop for our site was named something different on our reservation than on the signage. Very confusing. Campsite itself was pretty. The neighbors blasted music for half the evening, and the bar across the water blasted music for the second half of the evening. That part wasn’t great, to be honest.

Was overall a good spot to camp with lake shore access and clean amenities. Was sad to see the amount of trash around the lake/campsites though, picked up what I could.
