Bathrooms clean and water hot!

Had a great site that was well shaded and a good lake view. Sites are well spaced, and both the CG and shower house and smaller restrooms were very clean. This is the third time weve stayed here and recommend it.

Very nice campsites. Grass was tall when we arrived. Us and our dogs got chiggers. Also a lot of ticks. We had biting flies for a couple days and saw several large cockroaches the last day. Showers were not usable for us. We have a stand up outdoor shower we used instead.

Great location off Clinton Lake. Our site, number 47 overlooked the lake, no access to the lake though. Restroom was just a short walk, and everything was functional in the restroom. Signs along the route were great, confirmed the Google directions were correct.

We enjoy the fact that the Cedar Ridge campground is open in April. There are a few things that could be improved. The fire rings are not very big so the fact that they are not cleaned out - ashes shoveled out - regularly encourage people shoveling them to the side and dumping them carelessly. We had to shovel ours before using it. We put the ashes in a sack a threw it in the trash bin. Hope that was the right place. The shower house and three flush toilets are so nice to have, but they have very intrusive and unnecessary sizes of light fixtures. Please decrease the amount of lighting in the park. Its hard to sleep with so much light spread around. As far as we could tell the toilet was not swept out during our 4 night stay. Quite a few people were using it, and bugs were collecting, so it probably needs sweeping every 2-3 days, at least. As well as checking the supply of toilet paper daily. We had to find someone to refill on a Sunday. Since the ticks and chiggers are already out, we really appreciated that the disc golf course and the meadow segment of the Smokehouse Trail had been recently mowed. The segment connecting Smokehouse Trail to Cedar Ridge campground didn't look mowed yet, so we hope it will be taken care of soon. The birds are fascinating in this area, so we will be back again. We are really, really big fans of the Smokehouse Trails which contains so many glacial eratics. Last seek there were also several large patches of wild verbena that were lovely!

I stayed the night while driving cross country and unfortunately wasn't able to soak in all the fun. However waking up and walking over to the lake before leaving was plenty of motivation for my drive. Lot of beauty. The facility was nice too! bathrooms and trash are obviously kept up with on a regular basis. Would recommend to a friend.

Excellent campsite for a tent. Note that the huge tree is home to some enormous ants. Otherwise a great site for either tent.

I enjoyed my stay despite the constant wind, to the point that I had to close my slides to decrease the rolling. Obviously this is not anything the park can control, just something to keep in mind. I was in the only spot that looked onto the lake so maybe the sites on the other side were a little better protected. The park was clean and the bonus for me was the laundry access. Took advantage of access to washers and dryer. Inexpensive too! I went on a day trip to Wamego KS, about an hour away and really enjoyed my visit to the Museum of OZ. Everything you ever wanted to know about the Wizard of OZ movie can be answered here. What a fun place.

This is one of my favorite spots to get away for a few days. The bathrooms and showers were being worked on, so they were out this time except for the main one. That is the only reason it is not a 5 star. But I expect that they will be all rebuilt very soon.
