Excellent staff that are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Clean site, clean bathrooms that are restocked frequently. Grounds are clean and free of trash, beautiful view and environment.

Great campsites. But I was in loop C and the bathrooms that I reserved a campsite next to. Because I have a wife and two infant sons so being close to the restrooms were a absolute must. But for some reason the restrooms were closed. Only other restrooms was a single shack across the parking lot across the campsite.

The campsite is beautiful, serene and kept up nicely. The terrain is very rocky and you really need to watch your footing but its part of the charm. There is running water for cleaning up and the bathrooms were clean but of course since they are pit toilets the odor isn't pretty. The lake is charming and we were able to put a small blow up boat into the water to paddle around. ** not a swim lake ** but the starry clear sky makes up for it. We did hit some back roads for a bit of "off-roading" and the hiking trails nearby are worth visiting. Overall a nice getaway.

I almost feel bad posting this review. I will start with the good things. The campground was very clean and well maintained. Scenic and away from it all. Now the bad, at least from my perspective. I guess the real problem was the description of the campground which in my case couldn't have been more wrong. This won't be verbatim, but it was something along the lines of " a quiet place where fishermen enjoy solitude." In fact, the camp spaces could not possibly be crammed closer together. This is in the tent only area. I would gauge it to be around 25 feet between campfires. with tents from your campsite and your neighbors campsite picnic tables, coolers etc. all from 2 campers crammed in between. and you have campsites around you on all 4 sides. Add to that the atmosphere of a giant party going all night, some incredibly self centered people who showed up at 10:30pm and began setting up, making coffee and a big meal with several bright lanterns and no consideration for anyone other than themselves. I left after the 1st night even though I paid for 4 nights. I have little interest in camping within Az since. Colorado is not that far. Some people probably think this sounds fun, but it was not what the description said and that is what ruined everything for my family.
