A20 was a perfect spot! Next to restroom, which was very clean and did not smell bad, driveway was at level with tent pad, fire pit, 1 table, accessible snack/food bar, mini mart, and a very beautiful view of the lake! Keep in mind that the road in, whether coming from Flagstaff or Williams, there's about a 30 min off road drive to campground. Beautiful hikes around the lake, but also some just a couple minutes outside of campground, like Sycamore falls. I have T-Mobile and was able to send and receive messages most of the time, other than that, no signal.

Enjoying outdoors with my family is essential part of our health and well being both physically and mentally. Food for my soul.

Love this campground. It is beautiful, clean, and very birdy. I counted three ospreys hovering over the lake at one time along with a great blue heron. The Steller's Jays had coffee with me every morning. The site (A20) was level and easy to navigate. There's a snack truck that sells stuff like ice and bug repellent as well as ice cream, hotdogs, and burgers. They also rent canoes and kayaks - we did not rent from them, but they seemed like nice people. Dump station is broken and there is water only for drinking. No showers. The only reason this place did not get 5 stars is because the road going into the campground is 11 miles of pure hell. It was absolutely the worst road we have ever taken to go to a campground. Even boondocking on BLM land had better roads. Really tough to navigate with a camper loaded with water going in (no water provided on site) and full grey/black tanks leaving (dump station broken). Probably would not return because of the road, water, and dump station issues, which is too bad because this is a great campground. The Forest Service needs to invest in infrastructure if they want to keep these places open.

Let me start by saying the campground is stunning. Extremely clean, well kept campground and camp site. We stayed on camp site 20 and had a beautiful view of the lake and easy access to the bathroom and fresh water. Loved the snow cone and ice cream on the lake as well as the canoe rentals. A lot of beautiful hiking and lots of forest to explore, especially with ATV's. The hike around the lake about a mile and was very kid-friendly.Now for my couple of downsides: we went in late May and we weren't allowed to have a fire. Apparently that comes sometime in June. The road to get to the campsite is 10 miles of rock and dirt. It was tricky pulling the pop-up and made for a VERY long ride considering how slow we had to go. Finally, the lake itself is more like a pond. The water is very muddy and dirty and the lake hadn't been stocked yet when we got there. It seems we just came too early. All in all, it was a beautiful campground.
