First time camping here and I must say, we were happy to have picked this place. We stayed during the week and it was quiet. There were only a handful of campers in Loop A for the first couple days. The view of the lake from our site was awesome. And rhe place was clean. Although, we didn't get much shade as shown. We had to move our cooler around depending on where the sun was. Lucky for us, the weather was in the high 80s at that time and there was breeze. The camp utility worker cleaned the bathroom daily. It's a pit toilet bu I must warn users to always close the lid after using. And yes, there was a good name brand toilet paper! There is a drinking water spigot but it had the taste of what seems like chlorinated water. The Black Bear Shack was also on site and it's like a one-stop shop; they not onky sold food, refreshments, rent canoes/kayak, they also sell basic necessities for camping. They are open 9am - 5pm and close on Wednesdays. We got to meet the camp hosts and they were nice and friendly. The walk around the lake was a good hike for sure. We definitely would be coming back again.

First time camping here and very happy we chose this place. We stayed for 3 nights during the week. It was the perfect peace and quiet place that I needed being from Vegas. There were only a handful of campers in loop A for the first couple days. The view of the lake from our site was amazing. The camp was clean and sites were spaced out well enough in some areas. The site I got was too close to the next site though but got lucky it was unoccupied during our time there. Lucky for us, the weather was in the high 70s early June and there was breeze. The nights got to the mid 50s. There are all sorts of bugs at night. The bathroom was cleaned daily. It's a pit toilet so don't forget to close the lid after using. And yes, there was toilet paper! There is a spigot for drinking water only. The Black Bear Shack on site was like a one-stop shop; they not only sell food, refreshments, rent canoes/kayak, they also sell basic necessities for camping. There is NO dump station available to use. It is closed. It should be open to campers. Also there is no fresh water, even though there are spigots available. The sign says temporary not available. I have been here for the last few years, and water was never available. On a positive note, the bathrooms are kept meticulously clean, and well stocked with toilet paper. Good job by the hosts!. The campgrounds are kept in good condition and we found no trash in our site. There is a Brown Bear diner open everyday but Wednesday. Good food at fair prices. They also rent kayaks.

Campground is nice, but road to get into it is horrible, washboard - rattles your vehicle. We won't be camping there again.

WE like the campground very much, but due to the poor condition of the road to get to it we will not be camping there again.

White Horse Campground was gorgeous in fall. We came the weekend after Labor Day weekend to avoid the crowds, and there were a handful of people in the park, but we had a lot of space surrounding our site. The views of the sunrise, sunset and stars over the field near where we camped were incredible. We walked the lake with our dogs every morning and night. It was a wonderful campground experience. There is quite a long unpaved road to get to the campground, so make sure that your vehicle has the clearance for 10+ miles of gravel road. I would definitely go back to White Horse Campground!

We love it there! It is so beautiful... the only problem has been rude people with loud generators and loud music.
