Wonderful camp-hosts, spacious sites, and squeeky clean bathrooms.

We stayed at the Jacob Lake Campground on July 4, 2023. It was a beautiful setting in the ponderosa pines, with plenty of shade. The campground was well maintained and clean. There was adequate space for tents. The most amazing part of the campground was the cleanliness of the restrooms. We have never been in a campground (we have been to a lot!) where the restrooms were so clean! Thank you for this! We loved being able to take a walk on the trail through the forest next to the campground in the morning. We would definitely camp here again!

Bathrooms were the most clean bathrooms I have ever been in. Great campground.

Spacious treed campsites. Tables, fire ring & stars Convenient to AZT trailheads, Jacob Lake restaurant & gas, Kaibab Forest office with info & maps. North Rim 45 minute beautiful drive through forests meadows Campground talk by rangers Dan & Dee on condors. Nice trails right from campground

Mediocre campground overall. The best part was the cleanliness of the bathrooms. The staff managing the grounds tried to charge us for a 2nd car when the reservation says 3rd car. The said a tent counts as a car. It was ridiculous. Then they tried to get me to move my tent onto the gravel pad instead of under the trees. I didn't pay to camp on gravel so I didn't move it. Just overall not a welcoming experience. Also the site #39 is right on the highway so tons of car traffic and very little shade. I would not likely camp here again.
