Bathrooms were perhaps the most clean bathrooms I've experienced in a campground. Unfortunately, that was really the only positive about the campground. The trees were thinned recently, leaving few of the campsites with any shade during the day. Our campsite was in full sun from 6 am - 6 pm, which was brutal with temperatures in the 80s at high elevation. Campsites are close together, with no privacy due to the lack of trees. There are several excellent options for dispersed camping up the road, which is what we will do next time.

Well kept sites and the pit toilet were very clean! We really appreciated having a site near the park as we could not get a site in the park.Didn't spend a lot of time here because it was cold, windy and no amenities. We could not have a fire at the time, so we came back late and left early to do all of our cooking, showering, etc at the campsite in the park.

I would have rated one star but the amazing camp hosts were very friendly and attentive so I bumped it up a star. With that saidAs tent campers, we chose this campground to enjoy the sights, smells and peace of the outdoors. We had none of that. We were surround on all sides by RVs, all of whom ran generators from sun-up to sundown. These generators were loud and spewed exhaust into our campsite. Going into our tent did not help, the loud rumbling generators and toxic fumes permeated every part of our site. It was miserable. The campground should have designated areas for tents and RVs, rather than commingling the two, as it is difficult to enjoy the wilderness when surrounded by people who want to use their campsite as a nothing more than a parking lot.

Spacious sites, clean pit toilets, camp hosts were always drivong around checking on things. And only a few mins from the park entrance.

Clean and great hosts. Only problems were one site ran its generation nearly 24 hours a day plus had lights on all night. Another trailer had lights on all around their trailer all night. Ruined my night vision and viewing the stars. This is an extremely dark area Greta for star gazing.

It offers a very quiet place to camp with large sites, picnic tables and a fire ring, plus potable water. The vault toilets were kept relatively clean. If the North Rim campground is full, Id strongly recommend Demotte. (There are no showers, but you can use the coin operated ones at the North Rim.) The canyon and its trails are still a bit of a drive away, but its a relatively serene drive. We were glad we chose Demotte.
