Beautiful, yet very remote. Be prepared for zero cell phone coverage as well as rather long drives to the north rim.

I was fortunate to get a spot here due to the closure of Grand Canyon North Rim campground closure and delay in opening. I would have given a .5 star if there was one, but the campsite was not that bad. I gave a 1 star due to having a reservation well in advance after following the North Rim news very closely and seeing that opening was going to be delayed i had a backup reservation. It became official North Rim would be closed and I received a refund and was happy I had a site for our visit (Disappointed could not camp at the Grand Canyon/North Rim itself, but this was close enough for our schedule). My family drove to our campsite and to our surprise a camper was there and a tag with there name was on the reservation post. I thought I had messed up. I confirmed my reservation on printed copy due to no signal there. (highly recommend paper backup). I went to the camp host and he said that the person on my site was unhappy with his site and was going to be there for 4 nights and asked me to find any open site and I could take it, he said there were "plenty open" ones. I tried to be nice about it and went to check it out, well plenty of sites apparently means more than one to this guy, it meant 2! It was getting dark, had to get dinner ready for kids and set up. Traveling for almost 2 weeks, camping at Zion, Bryce, and Moab without any issues. They know how to run a tight ship. I do not recommend this place if they give up RESERVED sites, just because someone is not happy with their site. If my kids were not there and had to get them fed after all day hiking, we would have had a very not so pleasant conversation with the host and the person who took our site. Reservations are meant for people who plan well in advance and are not meant to be disregarded due to someone not being happy with their situation. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SITE NOT BECAUSE OF THE SITE ITSELF, BUT BECAUSE OF ITS MANAGEMENT AND HOST. The area itself is nice!

Friendly staff, beautiful camping and nature in the area. Simple but clean toilet.

This is a picturesque campsite. It is very clean and well maintained by the camp hosts.

Beautiful location among the aspens, especially during the brilliant fall colors. Great for tents, although let me warn you that the ground is hard; a mallet is helpful to drive in the stakes. There were a few small RVs, but check the site description to ensure yours will fit. The hosts did a fine job of keeping the vault toilets clean and stocked. The campground is reasonably close to North Rim hiking trails and in my opinion, the sites are more scenic and level than the North Rim Campground. Very quiet, too!
