An excellent alternative to North Rim National Park Campground. Spotless toilets. Friendly, well run campground.

clean and roomy and very beautiful area. Not crowded like the ones inside the national park.

Like the proximity to the canyon.

Great campground close to North Rim. There are restrooms, but no showers or hook-ups for RVs. You can get firewood from the hosts at the campground. The campsites are located between the trees. Because of the elevation it get's really cold at night so be prepared!

Sites are roomy and mostly level. The hosts were attentive and helpful. At 8800 ft. the air is a little thin.. Astore and gas station are close by and the Park entrance is 5 miles away. We would use the campground again.

Beautiful campground. Very well maintained. Spotless bathrooms. Truly nice camphosts. Was much quieter than other campgrounds we have stayed at.

Had a great stay! Site required minimal leveling for our trailer. Roomy site with nice open space around us, near the cleanest camp toilets I've ever seen. Easy access to drinking water as well. North Rim Park entrance just 4-5 miles from the campground but we also went with our dogs up to the Arizona Trail. FS road 611 probably a half mile towards the park- go left and continue 4 miles to the overlook trailhead and find parking and pit toilets. Go either way on the AZT for spectacular views with minimal elevation change along the canyon rim. If needed, we also found cell service at that viewpoint, with a picnic table to sit at! Also saw appealing dispersed campsites along FS 611 that might be on the list for our next visit. Fuel and General store just across the highway from the campground entrance. Friendly and attentive camp hosts added to our experience as well!

What a wonderful campground, close to the north rim, tucked away back from the highway. Great Campground hosts, very nice, lots of great information on what to do, where to go sightseeing,, I recommend De Motte @ the grand canyon north rim to those who want to camp close, but can not get a reservation at the lodge/rim campground, its "dry" camping, just the way it should be in this area. We hope to visit again.....
