Our Cub Scout group of thirty 5-11 year olds had the BEST time camping at Sheeps Pass! We especially liked rockclimbing with Uprising Adventures, and Joshua Tree National Park Rangers Harlan and Jeff who gave an amazing guided tour. Our kids had an amazing time, learned so much, and were inspired to pick up over 750 pieces of trash to help the park's Joshua Trees, animals and other plants. Thank you for all you do to inspire future generations to protect our countrys beautiful natural heritage!

We have stayed at Sheep Pass for 14 years and think its the BEST! The camp sites are very nice and bathrooms are super clean. It is nicely situated within in the park for whatever you want to do.

First night was great! We ended up actually having the entire place to ourselves, all the other sites were empty. Second night, we had people parking in our (already full) designated parking, and some of the neighboring campers were walking directly through our campsite on multiple occasions, their child actually slid right into our tent. It was fairly odd and hoping it was just a rare thing, otherwise great campsite. We have stayed here multiple times and never had this happen before.

Our favorite campsite and we got site 2 which is now our new favorite. Kids loved climbing there and we had perfect weather before the storm hit, no wind at night. Can’t wait to come back!

The beauty and the problem with the Sheep Pass group sites is that there is little oversight from any park rangers. Our neighbors the first night had an all out party with over 15 cars and 25+ people. They played loud music that could be heard in every other site and were up partying loudly until 1am. Several of our neighbors went climbing around in the rocks above our site at 11pm, waking up my baby with their narration of the awesome climbing moves they were making in the dark.

We love Sheep Pass because the rocks make each site secluded. Except for our partying neighbors the first night, we couldn’t hear any of the other campers around us. There are wonderful boulders for the kids to enjoy and plenty of space for pitching tents. It would be nice if park employees would at least do a quick sweep on weekend evenings to make sure groups aren’t getting out of hand. I was shocked by the large gathering and party that went on unseen in the midst of COVID concerns.
