Site 12 was a great spot, definitely fit 2 cars. Close to parking lot and close enough to the bathroom. Plenty of room to set up camp as well.

Always an amazing experience, especially if you are wanting a dark sky for stargazing.

I didnt expect to have as much space as we did. The toilet was very clean and sanitary. We got to see the Milky Way and so many stars and shooting stars. It was spectacular.

We loved site 12. Perfect for our kids. They climbed on the rocks directly at the site for hours.

Beautiful and primitive campground in Joshua Tree. The space was great, the views were stunning, the night sky was out of this world. Only one bathroom near us, but at least it wasn't stinky. Coyotes howled and walked through the campground overnight, so if you do bring your pups, just make sure you keep them safe in your tent or van/RV at night. You can't access the park by car from the campground, as the nearest entry is about 15 minutes by car. Good to know when planning your activities. As always, pack it in, pack it out! Would definitely camp here again.

Favorite campsite in SoCal!

Signs everywhere say the campground is full, but this is not true. They are available to reserve online for the same night. The web page does not organize the available sites numerically, so it becomes difficult to find the site you want. Very poor management.

Campsite 12 is hella secluded. DO NOT CHOOSE A CAMPSITE THAT IS NEXT TO THE VAULT TOILET. THOSE SMELL HOOOOOORIBLE!!!!The rocks next to the campsite are nice to climb :)

Private and quiet. Great site to see the stars. It was well kept. Dumpster bin is walking distance. Did not use the restroom there, but read reviews that toilets are non-flushable. Will definitely book this site again when the weather is cooler.

We stayed at site 12. Very spacious site and private. One of the best ones I think. But overall this campground is excellent. We will be back again.

This campground is beautiful. It is about 20 min from town & the park. Lots of rocks to climb around on & actual rock climbing areas as well. There is a few hikes in the campground itself. We absolutely loved it & would stay here again if we couldn't find a spot in the park itself. Oh and the price is very reasonable too!

Site 12 has beautiful views, is close enough to the facilities but far enough away and is relatively well protected from the winds which can get whipping in this area.

#12 is a great site. A boulder pile at the site provides nice privacy. I drove around and checked out the other sites while I was there. #12 seems to be one of the few that isn't directly next to another site. Beautiful scenery. Pit toilet and trash are a short walk away. Ground isn't super level, but it's manageable.

Remote but lovely campground! So peaceful, friendly, and sites are beautiful next to massive boulders. Besides having to bring in your own water, everything is well cared for. We saw rangers patrolling regularly. Pit toilets were clean and well stocked. Only downside is being a ways out of National Park but the campsite is worth it and you just have to plan to go in/out once a day. LOVE Indian Cove, highly recommend and hope to return!

Our third time staying here, we love Indian Cove. The silence, the crisp and clear blue skies and friendly fellow campers were fantastic. Make sure to take advantage of the day use area to do some scrambling.

Indian Cove is a beautiful campground. It has many sites but it stretches out over a mile so it doesn't seem crowded. Our site was particularly private. An army rock climbing excercise with about 30 guys starters off with a bang at 6am next to our spot. Fortunately we are early risers. It is near the spectacular 49 palms canyon trail and the nature trail at the end of the camp was interesting. It is lower in the park, so is warmer than some of the other campgrounds. Recreation.gov is a stressful site to navigate.
