We were fortunate to score a one night last minute reservation at this campground. It was great and we would like to return again. The layout of campsites among the rocks was very nice. Campground hosts were friendly. Vault toilets were clean.

Indian Cove is a stunning spot for hiking, camping and just enjoying the magnificent scenery of Joshua Tree. The campground is well-maintained, with pit-toilets cleaned daily, and trash dumpsters available for campers.

I was the only person in this campground for 2 nights. Very picturesque scenery.

I appreciated how there seemed to be less trash up in the rocks. When we go boylderong we carry a sack to put found trash into, but this year our trash bags did not get full -- hooray!

Spot 89 was incredible! Its the last campsite on the road overlooking a beautiful valley and some epic rocks. There are great nature walks right there as well and bathrooms so close. We had neighbors but barley noticed. This is a quiet campground that is perfect for relaxing and seeing the stars

Stunning views, clean bathrooms, easy enough to get to but remote enough to feel like real camping.

Well kept and clean campground. The sites are beautiful and the campground was quiet. It was close to the town of Joshua tree if any amenities were needed.

This place was indescribable. One of our top trips as a family. The campground was well maintained and clean. The campers were all respectful of space and noise so everyone could enjoy. Beautiful campground! There’s a trail close by that you can walk to without having to drive at the end of the campground.

My reserved site was taken. Since it was after 5, there were no rangers around to deal with the situation...which was ok because my truck would have had to be 3’ away from the next camper. Not really my idea of camping or fun, so I left.

Indian Cove Campground blends the magical touches of Joshua Tree National Park together with uniquely planned campsites that offers tent camping like you've never experienced . . . oversized boulders and rock mountains surround you in every direction!

I've stayed at this campsite many times now, and it is always a wonderful experience. Depending on the site you get, there is a decent mix of privacy and community. Trails and basic facilities are available and always close by, and the sites themselves are spacious enough for tents and other equipment. I take my car(s) and pitch tents from there. I do not have a trailer or an RV or any kind of fancy camping equipment, just the basics, so I cannot speak to anyone who wishes to do that kind of camping.I have camped here alone, I have camped with my boyfriend, and I have camped with a bigger group. Each time, it has been a great experience. As someone who enjoys night photography - I suggest going when the moon is very slim. The pictures of the night sky/stars are truly incredible!

Stayed at Site 89, plenty of room for two large tents (4-5 people). Restroom and dump station is literally right across the site. All in all, awesome site and would recommend to anyone looking to stay at Indian Cove. At night the place looks like Mars (not that I've ever been there before but) and you could take in the quintessential Joshua Tree desert beauty.
