Excellent campsite. Only issue worth mentioning is that the parking is shared and the site is about 100m away from the site itself!

When I made the reservation, I didnt understand the walk in distance - so our picnic table was a little further from our van than I would have liked. I didnt ask if there was another campsite available, because the sign at the entrance said campground full, and every site had a reserved sign on it. However, the next morning when we got up and took a walk, it seemed like about half of the sites were still emptyis there an explanation for that? All that said, the campground was absolutely beautiful and very clean! We would definitely recommend to friends and stay there again!!

Campsite was on the smaller side. The roads to get to the campsite need some major TLC. Seems like a mix of asphalt and sand, which was rough. Campsite sits against the rocks and offers some decent privacy. Quiet hours were not followed and I was woken up at 2am by people talking.

Excellent camp sites with great bouldering. Enjoyed shade behind behind rocks to get out of the heat. Loved watching the moon and stars late into the night. Heard owls and coyotes. Wonderful.

This site shares a parking spot with your neighbor and you have to walk by that camp to get to it. Besides that its a great sport with great views of the rocks and is the closest to a famous rock for climbing. Bathrooms are close and it had a clean fire pit. The only downside is no wind protection and only one dirt space that was flat.

The campground is beyond beautiful and was in good shape when we were there. There is very little natural shade, so when temperatures are hot, ensure you bring some protection or shade from the sun. We didn't get to explore or do any climbing this trip, but there were many boulders to scramble on. We liked our camp 82, but since the site was a little bit from the road, we had a short Huft of our gear to the site. Not a big problem and you really can't go wrong with any site at the camp grounds.

Beautiful campground that's well spaced out with bathrooms that are easy access! The view is amazing and the birds are abundant.

Beautiful location! Dusk and dawn among the rock formations are amazing.

This campground is so quiet and peaceful. We had neighbors on one side and hardly noticed them. We slept in a campervan which fit the space well, there was a slight grade to this spot but not an issue. Bathrooms and trash were close in 2 directions.

Going to Joshua Tree is always the best experience. The review is to help with details specifically about site #82 at the Indian Cove Campground. It's adjacent to another site, i.e. you have to walk through this neighboring site to get to #82. Luckily nobody stayed there the night I went but it would have been intrusive. It was the perfect location with the sun rising behind us, so we had some time to get moving before the sun/heat really set in on us in the morning. Indian Cove in general is not the best if you want a more private space during peak season, but again, Joshua tree is always the best experience.

We had site 82 in Indian cove - a lovely view and close to climbing rocks, if we were climbers. We have a small RV and the parking area was on such an extreme slant both front to back and side to side we spent an hour trying to level ourselves. That site should be leveled for the parking vehicle. I did not find any other site in the CG with a parking area that slanted.

Friendly staff when we saw them but masks were just not around. A Government facility should follow government guidelines.

We are in this pandemic one year after it started because 1/3 of the nation will not cooperate with public health guidelines, or at least will participate in them only when forced but will take risks the rest of the time.
