Very quiet and relaxing camping trip. Beautiful weather, lots of climbing and bouldering. Very few people in the campground from Tuesday to Friday. We will go again

Love this campground, Ive been solo camping and group camping here for a few years now and still my favorite place. So so safe, good space between camps and so many stars!

Always a good time, except for the broken handle on the restroom.

End site with a neighbor on one side. Very short walk to bathrooms/dumpster. Kids really enjoyed climbing on the rocks. Enough space for our 16ft (expanded) popup trailer and our station wagon car. Our popup did hang over some of the rocks a little.

Rangers are friendly and helpful. We were in Site 75. The nearest bathroom door handle was broken. Someone tried fixing it but it still didn't work. Also, a stray cat wandered into our site and apparently had been reported several days before we arrived. We spent a lot of our time figuring out what to do and finally took it to the animal shelter in Twentynine Palms ourselves.

Beautiful campground, amazing rock formations. Bathroom door handle was broken and door could not be closed for privacy otherwise great campground.

The spot was great besides the fact the restroom was not cleaned after a few days. So the smell from the restroom was not pleasant and we could smell it from our camp. Also the campsite next to us was extremely close based on other spots we have been.

Amazing site, loved the setting among the rocks. All sites were occupied, but it never felt crowded. I enjoyed having the interpretive trail right near the campsite. Only issue was that the lock to the bathroom door was broken, but overall an outstanding location.

Campsite = spacious
Toilets = clean
location = close to city limits (2 miles) and can find regular stuff at Indian Cove Market (convenience store) easily - fire logs, milk, eggs, etc

Shower or shade area would be great given the daytime heat and sun.

Great camping site for beginner campers. You’re in sight of other campgrounds but it didn’t feel crowded (possibly because some campsites were off limits for covid). Pit toilets, lots of rocks to scramble on, nice fire pit/stove/picnic table at most sites. Bring your own firewood though!

Indian Cove campground was a beautiful base camp for our adventures in Joshua Tree National Park. Our only complaint was that when we arrived at our campsite (#75) it did not match the campsite pictured on recreation.gov. The pictures of campsite #75 on recreation.gov were actually of campsite #76 which is reserved for National Park Service emergency use only. This was quite disappointing because campsite #76 had much more space for vehicles and tents than #75.

Very awesome stay, clean bathrooms, fire restrictions were just lifted so we were able to make a fire. Fun climbing(be careful and wear the right shoes and check thoroughly for loose rocks, I took a tumble) overall amazing

A great place to relax and still be not too far from civilization
