What a magical place! So glad we were able to get a site! If the site could be leveled a bit, that would be great, but we were able to make it work. Thanks for keeping our parks open and public owned!

The site was a bit of a walk back from the car, which was nice but can be difficult if you have a lot of gear. Because the neighbors were camped closer to their car it felt very private. If they had been using their fire pit and picnic table area, it would have been very close quarters.

Absolutely love this camp ground!! Amazing rocks, super clean and close to town if you forgot something or need more wood. Only issue is this little section gets SUPER WINDY! Like vortex windy so be prepared :)

Sites 43 & 44 share a parking area. The total width is equivalent to or maybe slightly larger than 4 regular parking lot spaces. Both sites only had one van each during our stay so it was okay but I could see it getting uncomfortable if there were multiple vehicles at each site.

Love this place. Every site had a reserved sign on it, but campground only about 40% full? Very sad.

Great campsite but a couple things to prepare for to make it a 5 star stay. The parking area and the tent site is not right next to each other. Its no big deal but if you have small kids or a lot of gear, be prepared to make several trips when you setup or pack up. Also, it gets really windy in the afternoon and evening so make sure to take guy lines to prevent your tent from blowing away.

Beautiful setting with campsites nestled among the granite outcroppings. Sites have good separation.

Clean campsite and restroom. Only negative would be proximity to adjacent sites. Park was beautiful - highly recommend making a reservation for the Keys ranch tours, making the 7 mile round trip hike to lost oasis, and casual climbing at Jumbo Rocks.

We stayed in Indian Cove campground at campsite 43 and had a great time. The site is lovely, with a large rock face making up one wall, and enough space for 2 tents. There was a pit toilet the perfect distance away, near enough to be a short walk but not close enough to smell. The site has a standing grill in addition to the firepit and grate. The campsite is hotter in the afternoon and evening when there is no shade, while the big rock formation provides shade in the morning (at least in Spring). There are rock climbing spots a few yards away so be prepared to possibly share the space with some climbers. The ranger who welcomed us was a very sweet older gentleman who told us the big lizards we were seeing were called "Chuckwallas".

Beautiful campground situated amongst large rock outcrops. Sites are dispersed and nicely tucked in amongst the rocks. Good location proximate to the town of Twentynine Palms and North Entrance Station.

I thought is was interesting, most of the sites in Indian Cove said they were reserved for the days we were there, but most of the sites were open. Just curious if the issue might be with the website? I have a trip planned for the end of October and am not able to find any open spots to make a reservation, but I'm wondering if Indian Cove is actually full?

Scenery is amazing, 5+ stars. The lack of controlled access is a big negative. Too many day users and climbers bypassing the info station, entering for free, overrunning the campground, abusing the parking, wandering through campsites, climbing above campsites, and maxing out the pit toilets. Definitely lacking park ranger presence and supervision!

It was very cold (snowed during the night) when we were there, Feb 2022. It's a beautiful place. Our site shared parking with another site; they had a van plus a trailer already parked when we arrived. This made it kind of tight. We were only staying one night and the weather wasn't good enough to use the picnic table or make a fire. I would just be aware that you may be sharing parking with folks who have multiple vehicles.

Beautiful campgrounds-well maintained and not too crowded. Only issue was folks allowing their teenagers to scream at the top of their lungs and encroach on campsites other than their own. Didnt feel we had any privacy due to this and serenity was out of the question.

This was our first family camping trip together and it was wonderful. The ranger at the ranger station was very kind. The vaulted toilet was closer to the campsite than expected and each cluster of sites seemed to have one near by too. The scenery is beautiful we stayed at site 43 and behind us was almost like a small ridge you could walk to and below it was a small valley with other sites along the sides; it was perfect place to watch the sun set. There were strong gusts of wind at night so check conditions before going and plan accordingly.

This was such a cool spot. We had our campfire near some of the larger rocks and the light it cast at night was really cool. Our exact camp location was good, but there are better ones. I was just happy to be able to get one at all. There is a bouldering trail nearby that is really challenging and offers incredible views of the area, but definitely prepare yourself properly, it gets a little rough at times.

Scenery is beyond compare! Not easy to find level sites for RVs and very difficult to tell from the photos.
