Great campground right outside Joshua Tree National park. It feels like another world here with all the rocks. You cant go wrong with most of the sites here. Very beautiful and private!

Great secluded campground off the grid. Lots of bouldering and areas to explore

This camp site driveway is not flat in all places and backing in at night was difficult to get to the one area that was flat. Otherwise beautiful and quiet. Some cars/lights on nearby main road. Too hot to hike. (Mid September)

Stunning views at this campground, was very cold at night but had a great stay. Would definitely return, toilets were the cleanest out of the sites weve visited.

While there are a lot of sites, the rocks and layout make it feel much smaller. Loved the site. Vault toilet near our site was clean.

I read the reviews prior and they stated it could only fit a 2 person tent. Since I was a solo backpacker it would do just fine. I had a Lansham 2 tent. It requires guy line tensioners and hiking poles. So I was able to pitch my tent but the space is so small and the ground so hard it was too close to the fire pit to even consider a fire. I only stayed one night. My advise to you is to get campsite 41. Not only is it bigger and flatter there is a nice huge boulder to block the sun.

I had the greatest time! I highly recommend camping here. Site #42 was great.

The campground exceeded my expectations in terms of beauty and trail access. Thankful that I was good sleeping in my SUV as the campsite I chose (#42) had little space for a tent. Still, I loved that it was private and cozy, had beautiful rock walls to shelter from the wind. Amazing night sky. I look forward to returning for a longer time in the future. One thing to note is that this is a rock climber location with rock climbing routes beginning at many of the campsites. I have climbed in the past and enjoyed the encounter, but if you want a more private campsite, you might choose another of the Joshua Tree campgrounds.

The campground was just as I remembered it.There was a loud party on Friday night until 2 am. a little much. The biggest issue I have is that it's hard to get a site and when I was there, there were lots of sites open all weekend. Lots of no shows, as the camp site was suppose to be full. It's really hard to get a campsite and when there are a good 30%+ vacant, that's not cool. There must be some way to fix this.

We didn't need to explore any further than our own campsite because there was so much to do right there! We are a family of 4 with a dog and we were super comfortable. We have stayed at Site 54 and Site 42, both incredible. Site 42 is on the smaller side when it comes to parking a vehicle and setting up a tent, but it backs up to large boulders and caves making it an incredible experience. Our kids climbed all day and once the sun set, they continued climbing with headlamps. It's also quiet even when the campsite is packed.

Loved being up close to the rocks. Nice place to feel sheltered and cozy, but still definitely immersed in the great outdoors. Such a wonderful campsite; the best I’ve been to in the Joshua Tree area!!

The is a great location for rock-climbing and hiking. There's a huge rock wall within walking distance as well as an 8 mile Boyscout trail about 1/2 mile away from the campground.I use AT&T and lost signal here. If you come to the area make sure to have offline maps downloaded. The dirt is very hard to break through with stakes so consider bringing a tent that stands alone if you're tent camping.

I love this campground. Not a bad campsite. Great for kids to run around. Lots of rocks for climbing. Especially good if you are getting in late cause it isn’t all the way into the park.

Hard to beat Indian Cove for a 3-season getaway convenient to LA. Absolutely off the charts at night and there are so many things for kids to explore. A nice change from all the great mountain campaign in CA.
