Amazing site for stargazing. More private and secluded than any other campgrounds Ive been to in many National Parks. Service is not stable around the campground.

Absolutely love this campsite! So beautiful and quiet. I love how spread out the campsites are and it's very easy to camp at.

Loved this site. We had plenty of room and never really noticed the people in the campground. Toilets were clean. Great nite skies.

Beautiful place nestled in the rocks. Nice and quiet, It wasn't too crowded and the sites are dispersed.

Campsite was clean. Never saw a camp employee the entire time, which is a first. Other campers were quiet at night.

We arrived to find our site (37) with a serious enough grade in all directions (most sites are) that we were not even able to unhitch our trailer. After struggling for 3 hours, we decided to give up and go ask the camp host, Steve, for help. Luckily, he was able to put us in site #1 which was a cinch to back in and unhitch. The only downside of this campground is that it is outside the main areas of the park and requires half an hour drive to get to the main attractions. We, otherwise, had a wonderful time hiking and taking in the sights at the park. We also were lucky enough to see coyotes crossing the road into the campground twice as well as across from our original site when we were struggling to unhitch and set up.

One of my favorite campgrounds. Super relaxing with great stargazing.

Wanted to give this place a low rating to keep it all to myself. ?? truly a magical place. Beware, people will try to extend their stay without actually reserving or paying for it. Don’t let them and insist on getting the site that you reserved for. I paid for the mistake by allowing them to keep my site - just to be cool. The people who reserved the spot that I ended up staying on eventually arrived and insisted that I move. I had to move all of our stuff in the dark, without any help from either group of people, on top of crying children terrified of the dark. Big painful lesson learned. It all worked out in the end as we were able to savor the stars and very late night meal of pasta on the site that I originally reserved for. Our frustrations and fears quickly dissipated. Will definitely come back!

Excellent campsite. Each site is unique based on the rock formations. Each site is private and the star show at night is amazing...We will be back in the fall

Indian Cove holds onto a "park within a park" and climbers' vibe - all good things. This also can mean 'anything goes,' so be prepared for the occasional yahoo who believes it's Stagecoach or Coachella and blasts music that carries through the cove, enhanced by an amphitheater effect. It's getting harder to reserve a site, and some of the reserved sites appear to go unused - a sign that perhaps folks are forgetting to cancel reservations. Still, there's enough to to here, from boulder scrambling to serious roped climbing. An interpretive trail out on the western edge of the campground is a hidden gem, and beyond that parking area, there's a great overland route up a gulley to a couple high peaks. On the far southeast side, Rattlesnake Canyon is worth a scramble, though it can get technical and is parched, so good navigational abilities and plenty of water is advisable. For the daring, there are routes to connect to Willow Hole, which usually is accessed via the Boy Scout Trail off the West entrance road. Keep an eye out for petroglyphs, most of which are not mapped (for good reason). Also, there's a cave near the mouth of Johnson Canyon that isn't mapped. Ask around.
