Beautiful site. Very close to the bathrooms. But super close to neighbors. Also didnt realize that the campground was not inside the NP. So took us 30 min from Arch Rock.

This particular site was just ok. It was a bit close to other sites and therefore was a little claustrophobic for us. The campground itself was wonderful but we would totally opt for another camp site next time were visiting. For star gazing I strongly feel that jumbo rocks was darker and prettier at night. Indian cove was beautiful at night but it felt a bit closer to the city. Sadly I think 29 palms and the surrounding area is going to continue developing and light pollution is going to get worse.

Once again, an incredibly beautiful trip to JTree and Indian Cove. Outstanding climbs, bouldering and hikes. Beautiful as always.

Sunny in the morning and shaded in the evening. Incredible spot, highly recommend. No parc pass needed. You are close to one other site but otherwise very secluded.

Booked this campground 3 months in advance for a birthday getaway with friends. 10/10 most fun experience I could have asked for. There was plenty of space for tents, a fire pit, and a picnic table for our makeshift kitchen. The bathrooms were located nearby and were relatively clean compared to other vault toilets I've encountered. The shared campsite was semi-close; however, our neighbors only stayed for one night, so not too bad. The stars were incredible and were super fun to look at super late--for those who book here in the future, there is a 24/7 observatory located 10-12 minutes from the campsite! Did not get to attend, but could be a fun essential for your next trip. Definitely would come back--BOOK HERE! DO IT! :)

VERY HOT in the summer/late spring. Bring some way to keep water cool, and keep coolers closed as much as possible.

We loved our campsite, and were delighted to notice that each site seemed unique and interesting; there were no "duds" so we know if we come back, we're likely to have a great spot no matter what. Ours was sheltered with shrubs for unexpected privacy, against a backdrop of giant boulders which made for cozy campfires. The campsite is also pretty equidistant from the 2 park entrances, so very easy to get into the park for the day. The ranger on duty also gave us great recommendations to get oriented on our first day there. We will definitely be back!

We stayed at the campground for 6 people & the campground were super close to each other. We had a neighbor who was extremely rude and we can see the group right next to us as we sit on our table/fire (depending on which side). I love Indian cove campground but if you’re looking for more privacy from people get a group campground.

Probably one of my favorite campsites in the area. Beautiful grounds with variations of sizes available. This site featured really great views of open land, rock formations and was close (but not too close) to the bathrooms. The site next to us was great too and the two combined would be excellent for a larger group. Parking was good and easy for this site. Overall the campground itself is gorgeous with tons of rock formations and scenery to enjoy. We spotted a few jerboa near our site as well! Star gazing was great. Bathrooms are clean. Being your own hand washing gear and wear a headlamp at night. Cannot wait to come back for a night away here and there. Thank you!!

Surprisingly, this campground is as private and beautifully laid out as any other campground in the park. Though it's outside the Park entrances, it still gives you a feeling of being in the park and being secluded. If you prefer to be closer to town, this is a good option. It might be a good option for families with kids too. There's no fresh drinking water available anywhere in the park, so remember to carry plenty of water. Other than that, it's a great campground. We had campsite 20 and it was spacious and clean. Stargazing was wonderful at night - not as bad as I thought it would be given that we were closer to city lights.
