Not many campers there January midweek. All the empty campsites had reserved on them but nobody there. Enjoyed walking around the area.

If you like camping with people you dont know than youll be fine. Absolutely horrible experience! No privacy, no room.

Overall, Indian Cove is gorgeous and magical, amazing boulders, fun easy climbing (or harder if you like).Reviews for Tent Spot 19:Pros: 19 has fewer neighbors than other parts of IC; nice boulders all around; decent parking;you can walk a few hundred yards and get cell service. Cons: 19 has zero shade, bring a pop-up; it's butt up against site 20 with nothing between you and them, so you may have some very close neighbors; the tent spots are smallish and there are no truly flat/level tent spots.

Had a wonderful time rock-hopping at the campground. Weather was fine except for the 2nd night the wind got a little crazy! Our first time here and will come back again. The scenery is wonderful and fun to watch the rockclimbers going up the steeper rock sides. The site was good and plenty of room, though some sites looked to be rather small.

This is one of my favorite campsites in the whole park system. Although the bathrooms are just pit toilets and there is no dump station, etc, the views are amazing, the sites are private and scattering up on the rocks for a sunrise or sunset is not to be missed.

Loved it here! There were large signs that made it easy to find in the dark. The scenery is breathtaking and its not far from Joshua Tree. So many stars at night and the Milky Way was right above us!!! Gorgeous!!There were mosquitoes which I hadnt anticipated. Bring repellent, they were aggressive.

This is a beautiful spot in the northernmost part of the park. Sunsets here are gorgeous with the dusk light casting shadows on the rocks all around you. Try to pick a campsite right up against a large pile of rocks - this lends itself to more privacy and a cozy fire pit vibe. The way the campsites are arranged, some are right next to one another (perfect for larger groups to reserve two adjacent sites), so you may not have the most privacy. It could have been darker, but we were still able to see several constellations and the Milky Way. Note that this site does not have direct hiking trail access, so you'll have to exit the campsite and re-enter the park at another entrance.

Indian Cove was the best campground I have ever camped. Clean, quiet, friendly people, helpful visitor center and tons of climbing places for my boy. I wish there was a shorter route to Hidden Valley, but I chose Indian Cove since it was away from everything else.

Great campground with amazing views, but the fire ring and picnic table was completely exposed to campsite #20

Joshua tree never disappoints. It’s a blessing to have this magnificent National park so close to Southern California.

Great campground surrounded by beautiful views in every direction. Sites very greatly in size and location so make sure to read the descriptions closely prior to booking. We stayed at site #19 and it was awesome.
