Quite and peaceful. I loved seeing the rock climbers in the morning!

Its a beautiful spot with huge boulders. We set by the firepit at night under sky full of stars. In the morning we climb the boulders to the top, kids had a fun unique experience

Our stay was during December when the weather was mild. There was plenty of availability which was nice. There was day use mixed in with the campground which made it busy during the day with cars and people coming and going through the campground but after sunset things quieted down.

Indian cove campground was one of our favorites on a 3 week trip. Being set within the massive rock was gorgeous. Camp spots are nicely spaced and because of the rock formations made the spots private and sound deadening. Pit toilets were clean and well stocked. The nature walk is highly recommended. It is short and highly informative. We will definitely keep this on our list of places to return.

Loved this campsite, isolated and nice sunshine (might be less appreciated when its hot). Day use area mostly quiet, just a few climbers and most climbed farther away.

Great location with shady corner and good top ropes right behind it. Unfortunately, a major climbing guide company set up 2 of the three days on the series of cliffs adjacent and behind our campsite. This site is next to the day use parking area. They did not ask before setting up directly behind us, but later corrected their lack of courtesy. Close to two vault toilets but no so close you hear the banging doors.

As a first time camper, camping here at Indian Cove was AMAZING. The vault toilets were something new to me, but they were manageable. I was glad that I was able to fill up my water tank at the ranger station so I had water for the next couple of days. Stargazing was the best part. I am also glad this location was not too far from town in case we needed something from the store. Overall, it was an incredible experience and I cant wait to come back.

Campsite 7. Absolutely beautiful. Very peaceful UNTIL the pre-dawn thumping of "music" from someone's speakers as they pulled in next to us for a day of rock climbing with 75 of their buddies. We tried to hang tough and roll with it but the F-bombs became to frequent and our campsite was getting overrun, so we eventually bailed and made the long drive home.

No camp host on site. No water. Huge site. On the rocky site of Joshua Tree. No actual Joshua trees in sight.

I was stunned by the beauty. Did not expect what I experienced and how it all came together....sky, air, rocks, plants, animals, dirt all layered in unique and random ways that conveyed beauty and excellence.

Site 7 was a pretty good site overall - but it is right next to a major rock climbing area. They teach classes right behind this site. The climbers were nice and it was fun to watch but it is not private during the day. Also day use parking is right next to this site.

The campsite was nice, definitely more people can fit in it than it says in the description. Bathroom could have been cleaner, by next day I could already smell the stank drifting to our site. Glad we did not stay more than one night. Surprisingly- plenty mosquitoes in the shade and when sun starts to set so come prepared accordingly. You do not need to pay $30 car fee to just come into the campsite which is good.

we stayed when the camp was almost empty, so it was very private, but with the campsites divided by the boulders I think even with more people it wouldn't be much different. Facilities are very basic (as noted), but the water access at the ranger station is really not far, and vault toilets were clean enough. The remoteness makes great nightsky experience, and sunrise among the boulders is something to remember. We did a bit of climbing, and this short aproach from the campsite by foot to some climbing routes is a rare thing.
