We stayed at campsite 6. Very spacious campsite that fit our 10 person tent just fine. Such beautiful rock landscape and we had good amount of privacy too. Just right in front of a bathroom too

This is a beautiful campground located in a cathedral like setting. The campsites are located far enough from each other to allow you the feeling of not feeling crowded and each spot is unique. The toilets were clean and well stocked with toilet paper. Roads are well maintained so you can drive most vehicles. This is a place I would visit again.

We misunderstood that we could fill up with water at the ranger station..nope only bottles. We had to head to headquarters and drive back 10 miles. The water fill was in a really weird spot due to someone parking right where we needed to be to fill. Filling an RV can last 20 ish minutes (depending on tank size) and we were sticking right out in everyones way. Other than that, beautiful place. We hiked to 49 palms oasis. Beautiful, but busy. We drove all through the park and were disappointed that we couldnt drive the Cholla Garden. But we could see it from the road! If youre reading this, call your representatives and ask them restore all funding to our National Parks! We love our parks!

This site was beautiful and it felt very private with no other sites extremely close. The restroom is close (but not right next to the site) which is nice. We had 2 2-person tents and there was more than enough space.

Our visit to Indian Cove Campground in Joshua Tree National Park was absolutely unforgettable. Surrounded by towering rock formations, the campground offers both privacy and stunning scenery. The unique desert landscape, especially at sunrise and sunset, was breathtaking and perfect for photography. The campsites were spacious and well-maintained, with natural rock walls providing a secluded feel. We loved the easy access to nearby trails and the opportunity to scramble up the rocks directly from our site. Its an ideal spot for anyone seeking both adventure and tranquility. At night, the stargazing was nothing short of magical. The clear desert skies came alive with countless stars, and the quiet serenity made the experience even more special. Sitting by the campfire, soaking in the peaceful atmosphere, was a highlight of our trip. The facilities were clean and convenient, though its important to note theres no water on-site. Coming prepared made this a non-issue for us.Indian Cove Campground provided the perfect escape from the hustle of city life. Whether youre after solitude, a family-friendly retreat, or an adventure-filled getaway, this campground has it all. We cant wait to return!

Indian Cove is a minimalistic campground, but the environment is very dramatic. The campsites are small and often nestled against rock walls. Some of the sites ae quite close to others. Don't expect any amenities other than very clean restrooms with pit toilets. Go there to see the fantastic rock formations and to scramble among them. The night sky is dark enough for a glorious view of the Milky Way. If you haven't yet been to Joshua Tree National Park, Indian Cove is a great introduction to nan other-worldly landscape.

Awesome spot to camp and go rock climbing right behind it. Although it was extremely hot a canopy and some water buckets did the trick. Highly recommend taking an inflatable pool if you take young ones or for yourself during the month of June.

Loved it. Just wished it had less grasshoppers and moths in the area but can't help it it is outdoors.

So, I only stayed here for one day and it was good! The campground itself is easy to find and the lots are tagged so that you can find it with ease. The firepit was clean and ready for me to use. The picnic table was pretty dirty, but I find them that way at all campgrounds. The large rock formations provided plenty of shade as the sun started to go down, and the restrooms were very close by. Beware though, watch out for all of the insects flying around the campgrounds, they're all over the place! Make sure to take a netted canopy to keep the pests away. Overall, great place to camp!

Solo camped. Felt safe, beautiful surroundings, clean latrine. What more could you ask for?

Every spot in the campground looked amazing tucked away into the rocks. Some are more level than others of course, and some easier to back into, but all of them looked wonderful. Nights skies are spectacular, and it's fun bouldering and watching the rock climbers that frequently stop by. There's no water in the campground, so be sure to bring your own or fillup at the entrance ranger station (blue hose behind the camp host's RV).I especially liked that the campground is in a separate part of the park, so we don't have to worry about traffic at the entrance during mid-day if you need to run out to town for something. Lines in the main park entrances got fairly long, so plan on going into the park early in the day.

Loved this campground! So clean, quiet, plenty of parking. Great hikes and views, not to mention the amazing stargazing at night.

Great campground scenery, super well cleaned vault toilets, good tasting water from the ranger station, friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again. Only drawback is some of the other campers being loud (talking and music carry in the desert) and running drones illegally from their sites. Once we had a subsequent quiet night without the loud camper neighbors and their drones, realized how much even better it was.

Great spot that felt more private than other ones nearby, super close and tucked into the rocks. I even had two bars of service in the bunk bed of our truck camper that allowed me to listen in on a work zoom call. There was better cell service at other sites walking around that weren't as close to the rocks, but we were really happy with our spot. *bathroom door required slamming to shut all the way and dumpster nearby was loud too, but not the worst thing in the world.

Good location, however there was a young couple from Los Angeles that set up camp at the site we reserved. They claimed to have tried to do this at 3 separate campsites earlier in the day and pleaded to let them stay. Since it is one of the larger sites, my buddy and I thought it wasn't a big deal and shared our site with them. They ended up being inconsiderate and played music late into the night. I didn't notice since I slept in my car but my friend got very little sleep that night. If anyone runs into a similar situation, I'd suggest to not take the risk and kindly ask them to leave and don't forget that you did the due diligence to reserve and pay for the site.
