Campground was very clean and well maintained but in the space we had which was #87 people were constantly walking through our site. Not just through one path but in between the tent and table which made me very uncomfortable. We were there during the Gold fire and even the helicopter noise didn't bother me as much as the invasion of privacy by others. We stayed for about 3 hours then packed back up and left. Will stay again but definitely in a different loop. PS. Dominos in B.B. was amazing. They delivered right to the campsite since we wanted to get out of there soon

Before I start my review, I need to voice my pet peeve as a retired person. I wish children under 18 were not allowed in campgrounds during the week after Labor Day. If I want to hear a bunch of screaming kids, I'll see my grandkids! Outside the screaming kids, I love Joshua Tree during this time of year in the fall.My campsite was enjoyable it's walking one at the end of the walking campsite on Ridge. You need to guy out of your tent very well. It gets very windy.

Indian Cove Campground was a once in a lifetime camping experience. Rocks to climb, trails to walk, and it was full of amazing views just sitting at our campsite. Campsites 99 - 101 are a walk from the parking. If you want privacy youll only have to worry about people walking by to go on a hiek, rock climb, or pass by to set up theor camp. 101 is about a block away with a very hilly sandy trek to the site.

First time camping at Indian Cove. The area around the campground and the Wonderland of Rocks is spectacular and an absolute must see! That being said the camp sites are very close to each other and there is little privacy. We had multiple rock climbing groups show up and wander through our camp site without asking, or having a reservation for the campground. There was a definite party vibe at times, loud noise, drunken behavior, etc. I think Joshua Tree is worth visiting and Indian Cove is a beautiful campground. Just don't expect any kind of solitude in nature experience, it's more of a crowded hippy college frat party with the park staff being over run with too much work and not enough staff. Definitely didn't see any body getting talked to about drunken yelling in the middle of the night, illegal parking or rock climbing through someone's occupied camp site despite the fact that we couldn't avoid seeing it frequently. Glad we saw the place; probably not going to come again or if we do we will be camping in the back country of the park. Beautiful park. Very over crowded. Lots of party culture. Overall not our best National Park trip

No one clarified for me that the 29 Palms (West) entry is West of the Indian Cove campground. However, many people were quite explicit that one should use the West entry to avoid long lines at the East entry, It worked out for me, because I didn't pay a vehicle pass fee (but it comes out the same for the National Park system because I ordered an America the Beautiful Lifetime Pass online anyway, since I was no longer pressured by my expected date for use when I would be at JTNP).

Indian Cove is outside of Joshua Tree, 15 mins drive. But camp site 101 is super good with quietness and privacy.

Area was beautiful but campsite was really far away From parking. Very difficult to access and set up. Beautiful campsite, such a bummer that it doesnt have an entrance so the car can be more accessible

Beautiful campground with fun rock piles. Close to town and therefore convenient for our late arrival, but the stars werent as bright due to light pollution. I wouldnt recommend site 101 unless youre a very early riser. Its shaded in the afternoon but we were away in the main park during that time, and the unshaded early morning sun was brutal in late May. There was also a few minutes walk between the parking spot and the site itself. On the plus side, its at the edge of the campground so there is relative privacy.

Quiet, beautiful campsite. Nice nature walk to the East side. Clean long drop toilets. Site 101 tent site allows you to walk in about 70 yards away from cars for nice private spot with superlative view.

Very clean campsite. We expected it to be noisy with the amount of campsites available but it was very quiet and peaceful. The sky was beautiful and not a lot of critters. Recommend bringing extra firewood because the closest place was about 30 minutes away. 10/10 would stay here again.

This is our favorite campsite at Indian Cove and we keep coming back! Its set back beautifully among the large piled Boulder features and mountains so that you dont catch much ambient light or noise from even the closest other sections within the campground.
