We stayed here and the Cottonwood campground while visiting Joshua tree. The rock formations here thoroughly made the campsite more enjoyable for viewing at sunrise and sunset.

Quiet campground, beautiful scenery, the moon-lit up the boulders like a night light

I love this area and specifically this spot. It's my second time here snd there will be more. Sites are clean, bathrooms are well maintained and the views are incredible

We love this campground. It’s magical with the boulders and lighting - day or night.

There was no water in the campground itself (you had to go to the ranger station for it) but that was explained at the website. There was also no road leading into the park itself (so you have to leave the campground and get on the main highway to travel about 5 miles). The campsites were all clean and spacious. Plenty of room between sites. There were rocks to climb on at every site and a relaxing nature trail near by. I just wish I didn't have to drive 20 minutes to get into the park from where I camped.

Aside from being stalked by a TARANTULA, we really enjoyed Indian Cove. Otherworldly and beautiful. Clean, quiet. Was still a bit too hot during the day in the beginning of Oct, but we found other things to do. Keep in mind there isn’t much shade, so bring your own!

Back to the tarantula. It was huge and kept following us. Tried to get into our tent. So creepy haha

Indian Cove is the most amazing experience camping right among the boulders where you can climb. Great facilities and awesome campsites!

Had a wonderful time here! Beautiful campground with evenly spaced campsites. Our campsite offered lots of privacy and space from others. Low sound pollution from other sites. Super fun to be able to explore the surrounding campground and trails.

WE LOVED THIS PLACE!!! We originally tried to get a reservation inside the park but was actually glad we stayed here instead. So much more secluded and just breathtakingly spectacular especially at night! Walk don't run! You won't regret it. :)
