The campsite is beautiful in the rocks. The only thing that I would call out is that this is not a private site at all. There are 3 sites crammed together here, and this one you essentially have to walk through 2 other sites to get to it. Luckily, our neighbors never showed up in the site to the right, so we were able to put some distance between our other neighbor and have some privacy. You wouldn't be able to tell by the photos. Other than that, this is a great campground!

This site was perfect not too close to the restroom that you could smell the outhouse or too close to the road and had lots of space for the kids to run

We always enjoy Indian Cove in JT. Not only do you get the JT experience but you technically don't have to enter the park and pay the entrance fee. And it's <10 minutes from a mini-mart for a beer/ice run.The weather this Memorial weekend was outstanding. A high of 80 deg. which we've never experienced in past years. Usually expect 90+ on that weekend. Only issue we had this year was that the fire pit was pretty full of ash. Thankfully I always bring my trusty shovel and just scooped a bunch out.Other than that it was a wonderful experience once again. Thanks!

Beautiful campground, campsite had lots of top rope climbers there which was fun to watch! The ground was quite solid in some places so was challenging to peg in stakes but managed to make it work!

Indian Cove was a great experience, my girlfriend and I spent Christmas here, our first camping trip, and it was a lot of fun. We enjoyed climbing the boulders and the moonlight walk through the nature trail. The camp grounds are well organized and clean, the hard-stand bathrooms are kept clean, and the area seemed safe and secure. Absolutely would camp here again.

Offseason, two nights 10/24-10/25, campground half-full at best. Excellent weather, shorts and t-shirts night one, left the rain fly off the tent, enjoyed the orionid meteor showers... Just about perfect. A little blustery night two, but it is the high desert and you get what you get. Site 64 might be the best at Indian cove... Huge area, enough to put 6 tents, though I believe it's a 3 tent max. 20 ft high rocks, a perfect alcove to place the tent adjacent to the walls, morning shade until 10:30 a.m. site 65 is adjacent, but was empty while I was there, giving the dog free rein, although they are supposed to be leashed at all times. Bought firewood in town, $20 per wheelbarrow - place just off highway 62, signs advertising "firewood" on fence - two barrels enough for two nights, pretty healthy bonfires. Hesitated giving such high praise to the site, as I hate for it to be snapped up in the future, but wanted folks to have good recon info. If group camping, try to reserve 63, 64, and 65... You will have your own alcove entirely to yourselves. Pit toilet accessible just across the parking area, clean. Good stuff!

The campsite was nice, and there were rappelling anchors above the camp, so we could just start rappelling.

The campgrounds and facilities are great. The location is beautiful. Just reminder to all future guests that we don't want to hear you talk until 1am!!! Got unlucky with the neighbors. a rude family next to us, had 3 cars and 7 people, eating and drinking, until I had to ask them to go to bed. They did listen to me but took another 45 minutes for them to get situated.

This spot is perfect, its nicely tucked away and not extremely close to all the other camp sites. Spot definitely could fit 2-3 tents depending on size. I would definitely reserve this spot again.

The Recreation.gov website said the campsite was all booked. I arrived and it was nearly empty. I heard the same thing from another camper. You are ruining peoples plans with this inaccurate website information.

Site was better than expected. Tucked away on the middle of big rock walls that helped with blocking out excess wind.

The place is wonderful and most of the sites are perfect - no stress picking the right one. We were here during holiday season and it was fully booked - in theory. Around us many sites remained unoccupied, but we couldn’t book an additional night, bc the sites were not available for reservation.

Wonderful campground close - but not too close - to town. This campground offers water (at ranger check in station, bring your own containers).

This campground is very well laid out to accommodate lots of people with a good deal of very private spots and some that are more open for groups. Very nice for singles - I felt very safe here as a single woman.
