Nice campsite. The rock formations were pleasant. The table and fireplace were all nice as well. They could add better signage it's hard to see some of the signs especially at night. They could also add hand sanitizer in the restrooms since there is no running water. The road within the site could also use some maintenance. However, overall it is a nice campsite!

The campground is super cool & amazing views!!! Our only complaint is our site was incredibly close to other sites and with the lack of trees & being right up against rocks it felt like every sound echoed. Some parties weee pretty rowdy in other areas too. I wouldnt expect quietness here

Going to Joshua Tree is always a great experience because of the views and our ability to take scouts and set up climbing and repelling activities in the campsite.

No water or services inside the park to speak of. Services just outside the park priced high and of poor quality. Water only available at the ranger station, and had to buy what I found to be live termite-laden firewood and 30% melted bags of ice from the one store (overpriced liquor store) anywhere near the gate. Definitely plan to bring everything you need for the entire stay if possible!

Surrounded by boulders, nice and secluded, quiet close to the restroom.

Best location in the row- firepit is set back so it's surrounded by the rocks- much more private than the other sites in the immediate vicinity. Will be back!

We pulled up after dusk and the area where our site was was lit up with twinkle lights upon what we were guessing were rock formations. Once we got out of the car it was quiet, still with low murmurs from each of the campsites. A little soft music and guitar playing. It was pure magic! The sunrise the next morning showed that we were surrounded by tall rocks. We were tucked into the coziest of campsites. We only stayed one night on our travels but we will be back soon enough! We slept in an open air tent and the stars and moon shone so brightly! Our site was 56 and was cozy and close to a bathroom!

The Indian Cove campgrounds are beautiful. This was my first time visiting Joshua Tree, and my first time camping in a National Park. The campsites were a little small, and closer together than I'm used to. My husband and I were fortunate that our site, number 56, was a little bigger than the other sites around us. Despite this, we could still easily hear our neighbors' conversation well into the night (even though they were probably trying to be quiet).

The site had a fire ring with a cooking grate, a concrete picnic table, and a bbq. The site was also shaded by the rocks in the heat of the afternoon, which made for a more comfortable stay than I was expecting.

The pit toilet for our loop was clean, and extremely well-stocked with toilet paper. It was close enough to be convenient, but not so close that we could smell it. Near the toilet were dumpsters for garbage, recycling, and even a place to dispose of empty propane tanks.

I didn't notice any pests to speak of. There were chipmunks, but they didn't hound us for food. It doesn't seem like they're used to being fed by humans, which is good. We didn't stay long enough to need to refill the water container that we brought. But it was an easy drive to the Ranger Station if we ever did need to refill it.

The nearby nature loop was a nice little walk with informational plaques scattered along the trail. I liked reading about the people, plants, and animals that make the desert their home. You'll have to go farther into the park for a more strenuous hike, though.

Overall, I had a great time. I would love to go back soon.

I have camped at Indian Cove regularly since the late 1970's. We've seen a lot of changes, especially since park visitation has increased so dramatically. Anecdotally, we have noted significant changes in vegetative cover and wildlife activity, both in numbers and diversity. Despite these changes, we have always appreciated staff efforts, including the reservation system, to accommodate visitors despite the challenges of increased visitor use.

nice spot, I happen to be stuck between multiple families having a big group campout. I guess the kids aren't going to school. None the less they were nice people, just loud, but I would expect that with a bunch of kids. They were having a good time. I just happened to be out there for R&R and silence. I'm sure my snoring made up for it. The stars were beautiful. Long live Joshua Tree. Great time
