We knew our campsite #31 was a shared parking space with #30. However the 50 yard hike to our area was unexpected. We did get our share of steps in that day carrying our goods to site #31. Our next visit well make sure we have our own parking with close-by table and fire pit. Restrooms were clean, great nature trail and this campsite did provide privacy from adjacent sites.

I visit a couple times a year. Campsite 31 is a pretty good site, but we were awakened by climbers in the parking lot across the street. Talking and laughing very loudly. Generators are annoying as well. But otherwise this is a great place.

I loved this campsite!! Its pretty easy to access and its beautiful. I felt like a cowgirl I was at campsite 31 and I thought it was private enough. Theres campsite 30 that seems like you can have bigger groups in the that one but we could barely hear them. I would love to go back!

It was our (my wife and I) first time driving to Joshua Tree so obviously we both were nervous. However, after we got to Indian Cove Campground and as soon as we found our campsite we noticed that there was nothing to be concerned about.
Each campsite is situated nicely along the stretch of the beautiful rock formations separating each site from the neighboring sites and giving enough privacy and distance to the campers.
Our campsite had a nice and level area for our tent which made it very easy to set up our tent. Later in the evening while walking around the campground in the evening, we found out that each site had its unique beautiful surrounding and privacy.
There were more than enough toilet facilities. Campers need to make sure to bring officiant drinking and washing water since there is no water at the campground, which is understandable.
The evenings and the night times are the most magical time of the day. The area is a perfect spot for night photography.
The nights were amazingly peaceful and quiet. Of course, you wouldn't want to stay at your campsite after breakfast especially when the weather is hot. Luckily, there is a lot going on at the town of Joshua Tree on the stretch of Twenty Nine Palm Ave. which is almost 10 minutes drive. Don't forget to pay a visit to Pioneer town, especially if you are fund of western movies.
To cut the story short, We spent a wonderful time and added a unique memory from Joshua Tree and Indian Cove Campground and have already made a note of the site number that we will make a reservation for, next time we decide to camp there, which will be soon.

Very cool campsite. The rocks were very unique. Not able to scavenge for firewood.
