Site 30 with its little cave is so amazing. It provides shade in the afternoon a little wind cover. The views from the campsite were amazing

Indian Cove is a very nice campground. It is very different than the other campgrounds in Joshua Tree due to it being on the very northern edge. There are no actual Joshua Trees here, but lots of Yucca and Chollas. The view is excellent, and the night sky is stunning. Campsites 30 and 31 are my favorites, but there are some popular ones below that that are normally occupied too.

This is the best campsite, my family love it. We have been there a couple times and will be back for more. This last time we went, though, we had people who weren't very considerate of our space that we paid for and started climbing and descending into our camp. The next day we had hikers come and want to climb, I politely asked them to return when we no longer had the campsite reserved. Other than that, its the perfect campsite nestled in the rocks is pretty cool!

We had one of the best site, it was very spacious and not too far from restroom. But we were there at the beginning of June and the weather was just brutal. It was so hot and windy at the same time. Also, there was a car parked on our spot when we arrived. There was really nothing you can do because there no staff nearby nor at the entrance.Furthermore, during the day, when the temperature was high and the wind blowing at the right direction, the smell of the restroom was definitely noticeable. Additionally, people walked through our site constantly because it was close to restroom even in the middle of the night. To sum up our experience, my kids usually love camping, but they did not enjoy this trip and wanted to go home the very first morning.

Beautiful park and very convenient camp ground. NPS rangers are rare out there these days so keep that in mind when considering activities and sufficient preparation to be out in this wilderness. Hike safe and enjoy!

Beautiful campground close to both entrances of the park. Site 30 was perfect - great views and even a private cave!

We were there during spring break crowds and Indian Cove was not crowded at all, excellent access to bouldering and beautiful setting.

Indian Cove is a must-have experience. Pictures don't do it justice! It's a great location with easy access to necessities (water!) not too far away. I wish I could have stayed longer.

Campsite was very good, however it was extremely loud all night long with endless traffic. I was there on the night the Perseids Meteor shower peaked and it was an absolute zoo. I was very disappointed the staff at JT allowed the madness. I will never go back to JT in the summer for a meteor shower.

We stayed at site 30 which was wonderful because the temperature was in the 90s but in our little cave which was actually quite large it was shaded most of the day and kept us cool with a breeze. We had a really nice time despite being next to people talking loudly. We were grateful for our cave! I would definitely stay there again it was a really large site, but still close to the neighbors on both sides

Fantastic site. We walked around to check out the neighboring sites and found that #30 came to be the best. There's a small walk from the parking stall to the table/firepit but that means there is plenty of room to use. The rear also has an opening in the rocks which provided cool shade during midday. The nearest restroom is adjacent to the site which can be smelled during down wind but that was rare. Our return trips will be to this same site.

This was a wonderland of a camp ground! It’s a short ride over to the north entrance to the park! It’s completely worth it!

Coming during the slow winter time was probably a good call. Not too many people, decent trails and clean sites and restrooms.

Great spot. Only drawback is Indian Cove isnt connected to the rest of the park so youll be driving to see everything from here.

We had campsite 30 and it was spacious and clean. One of the best sites in the campground. We had a nice separate space from other people. It was amazing!Camp ground is really close to Twentynine Palms. If you are going there for the first time go to Oasis Visitor Center for Information/Maps in Twentynine Palms. Do not forget to visit Cholla Cactus Garden. It is really beautiful.Park rangers are very helpful. We left our car keys in the trunk and closed it by accident. They came and used some equipments and opened the door.

It is a pretty open area with exposure to the south, which means you get plenty of sun during the day.
