A park entrance fee is not required to enter/stay at this campsite. Very clean and spacious, but just be mindful of which campsite you are staying at, some are smaller than others. At campsite #2, you could at most fit a 4-person tent (8x7) only! Lots of little areas to go rock climbing within the campground, not too strenuous, my four-year-old had a blast! It is about a 30-minute drive to the north entrance of Joshua Tree.

I love that there's so much climbing right in the campground. Even right in our campsite 002.

Very nice setting. Very quiet at night. Had fire pit and picnic table. Pretty far away from other campers. Would go there again. Bathrooms clean, and conveniently located. A little far away from the main part of the park but wasnt really a problem.

Camp site could be more level but was nice. Bathrooms have dry toilets but they kept them clean.

Campsite was exactly as described- super quiet, too, for being relatively populated the night I stayed there. Extremely comfortable, but make sure you bring water and hand sanitizer (bathroom).

Highly suggest to walk around the campgrounds during the day to watch all the rock climbers and take in the beauty of the rocks and desert landscape. Bring lots of water to drink and use to wash dishes if camping.

We were in site 2 and being near the entrance the road was a little busy with folks coming and going. The toilets are about 50 yards away, across the road. We enjoyed the site, being surrounded by the beautiful giant rocks. It was fun having a morning coffee (or afternoon beer) watching the climbers on the rocks next to our camp attempt some challenging climbs. I recall the posting stating that parking area for the site was level, this defiantly was not the case. Fortunately we had leveling blocks for our 18 foot trailer, I believe the length limit was listed as 15 feet. It was entertaining watching the group next to our site attempt to fit their 30 foot trailer into their parking area. Their travel trailer resembled an amusement park slide by the time they got it "leveled". We loved the stars at night (we were there when there during a new moon).

I loved this campground, it offered lots of climbing for my kiddos to play during the times we spent in camp. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained.

We had a quiet, beautiful site with incredible views of the surrounding rocks and skies. Was a bit of washout section on our site but the rangers were on it and going to fill it in when we left, so as not to interrupt our camping experience. Thanks!
