A little bit more noise compared to my stay at Ryan Campground due to more campsites. It's also a little bit further from a lot of the hikes at the park compared to other campground locations

Lovely Campground, but the site was not level (not even close). Tough for a camper van

Amazing starry night and desert views. The toilets were clean and had running water and toilet paper, but no lights. So don't forget to pack your flashlights!

We drove into the campground quite late (around 11pm), very easily found our campsite, and enjoyed making a fire in the provided pit. The other included amenities were functional and as clean as one could hope for (picnic bench, water spout, and bathrooms). The stars were absolutely incredible on the cloudless night, this site is absolutely worth a visit!

There was a burn ban during our stay however there was no one enforcing it in the campgrounds nor was there any signs at the campground reminding guest of it. More then half the campground guests were having fires during my weekend stay at the campground

The park and camp site were wonderful, however it was cold and VERY windy, so visitors in the winter should be aware that weather can be a factor.

The site & restrooms are very clean. Access to clean potable water was an extra bonus. The rangers at the visitor's center were nice & helpful. They even marked up a map for us. Access to trailheads from the site made exploring easy. The site is away from the major tourist areas so it was mostly quiet & even though it was full you didn't feel it was overly crowded. Pick up firewood before you get to the park. We had a wonderful stay & are already planning our next trip.

I've visited this campground a few times over 20 years, and it's always great. It's well laid out and well maintained. Even though it was full it didn't feel too crowded. The walks that leave from its east side (to Mastodon peak etc.) are easy, well marked, and snake through beautiful rock outcroppings. My 4- and 8-year-old nieces loved them. There are nice interpretive materials at the start. As a tent camper, I sometimes wish there were one or two fewer RVs at campgrounds, but I know that's a losing battle. And for the most part the RV operators here didn't run their generators too late or early. Jumbo Rocks campground further north in the park is also great. And Joshua Tree is, of course, a national treasure. You probably know this but the desert gets cold at night!

What a beautiful area. We could never imagined that we would enjoy Joshua Tree as much as we did. Definitely coming back!

Beautiful dry camping in the dessert. Remote at south end of park. Don't miss Mastedon trail.

The campground was well kept and clean. The restrooms were clean as well. Our space had a picnic table and a fire pit. There was ample space to park. We recommend visiting the hidden valley trail, cactus garden, skull rock and key view. We saw bighorn sheep at key views.

A great night sky, actual water to refill jugs with. Great neighbor campers, and a beautiful desert. A fantastic experience.

This was such a great campground. Super family friendly, close to the hiking trails and just off the main highway. You aren't in beautiful boulder areas but it's just as pretty.
