Tent only campsite was laid out in a way that made it awkward to set up camp. Real bathrooms were excellent. The campsites were very close together for a desert campground.

Arrived at campground, site very uneven my 28 foot motorhome fit but sleeping slideout hung out into the road. We left and camped at BLM dispersed campsite just outside the park. We could have turned our Moho around and it probably would have worked but it seemed like too much effort when we could just park on BLM without worrying about being run into

A large group of 20-year olds near our camp were partying, chopping wood, and making a lot of noise continually from 8pm to 3:30am. There was no Ranger presence, no Campground Host, and absolutely no enforcement of the 10pm noise curfew. We were very disappointed at the complete absence of any National Park authority presence at this campground as we did not feel physically safe approaching these campers to ask them to be quiet. We had reservations for two nights but left the first morning, wasting our money for that second night. We travel and camp year round and throughout the Western US and this was one of the worst experiences weve ever had at a campground, let alone a campground in a National Park. A very, very disappointing experience.

Cottonwood Visitor Center Rangers were not at all helpful when informed that another camper was in our site and nowhere to be found and left us to handle issue on our own.

Nice campsite with a very nice bathroom. Running water sinks and flushing toilets. Wish there was podable water though. Definitely check out other campsites for drinking water and the campsites that are first come first serve if you can’t get a spot at one of the reservation only sites

The campsites were exceptionally maintained, and a wonderful place to camp and enjoy Joshua Tree NP.

Good bathrooms, easy in and out. Nobody could find the camp host, but we never needed them, so it wasnt an issue for us.

Way too far away from anything you want to do. No privacy- our RV parki BF was just pull to the side of the loop road not even in a little cubby hole. No wifi- bathrooms from my location were very far away. But restrooms were clean and it was a place to park. Free dispersed camping was just a few more miles away and had full wifi service just had to drive down a dirt road for less than a mile so that would be preferred to this site just due to privacy alone.

all was good, site was ready, restrooms were clean and stocked with TP. This is our fifth trip to this campground, flush toilets, running water. I think this is the only CG in JT to have running water.

This is a nice campground on the south eastern portion of Joshua Tree NP. The spaces are small, larger ones are parallel parking along the road. So I choose not to extend my slide out comepletely. The drop off from the pavement made is somewhat difficult to level but used blocks under the wheels. The spot had a picnic table and fire ring but lots of brush so not much free space. Bathroom was clean but not heated or hot water in the sink. There were fresh water spigots in the campground but not able to put a hose to it to fill RV tank. There is no cell service so was reliant to go to the ranger station to check the weather. The dump station was easy to pull into and out of. There is access to trail head in the campground.

Super clean bathrooms and nice spots, but really crowded. I think there was a high school senior trip going on with like 50 people in their site that kept the entire campground awake extremely late. Can't really control that, but it's a reminder that I prefer larger campgrounds with more privacy and space between sites.

It was a great time, the facility was clean and the park was well managed.

Campsite B03 was fully equipped with a level parking spot, picnic table, and fire ring. The bathrooms were clean and well-functioning. Our neighbors were respectful of quiet hours. The only thing we could have asked for were clearer skies for stargazing!

The lack of maps (and of knowledge about the sites on the part of staff) led to not being able to put our rig in place, so we just left.
@LouisD549 · Camped on Apr 6, 2021 at Campsite #B3
Good campground, clean and comfortable. Some sites allow you to pull your car in, which is better, others want you to park on the side of the road. The site is a bit of a drive from the major attractions of the park.

Clean and well situated within the southern part. Super convenient if you are coming from the 10 Hwy near sunset.

When we arrived, someone had parked two cars in the spot that we had reserved. They were nowhere to be found so we went to the nearest Visitor center and Park Ranger Cameron helped us by investigating the camp site and trying to track them down. When she could not, she offered us another spot and was thoughtful enough to recommend a spot that had a better view for the night. She was right. And we were extremely grateful for the extra care she took to make sure we had a spot. And the stars in the sky that night were incredible.

Cottonwood campground is a great place to stay while you explore Joshua Tree. The campground is very clean. I was surprised by how quiet it was since it is a fairly good sized campground. There are plenty of hiking trails close by. I highly recommend Paradise Oasis! It is gorgeous!!

We spent six days at Cottonwood. Very beautiful campground with awesome hiking trails. Cottonwood Spring Oasis is breathtakingly beautiful! I loved how they did not have lights in the campground making for great night skies, too. And its a short drive to explore Jumbo Rocks! This is a super clean campground, bathrooms included. Evenings were very quiet and relaxing. Great place to spend a weekend, or a week!

The camping site is not the one in the photo that represents the site. The site had trench's that made it a little hazardous to walk and get in and out of the RV, there were large groups of people that rented five or six camp sites and were partying until midnight.
