Very great location, extremely large lots not attached to the others, 50 Amps, water, dump station, in a fantastic landscape all around us. Very good price. We will be back

The campground is well maintained with bear trash receptacles and nice rest rooms. It was quiet at night with friendly campers. We stopped at the visitor center with questions and they were friendly and helpful. You can hike right from the campground and the sunset view was spectacular.

Great campsite, however it is in the extreme south part of the park, approximately 35 miles away from the major attractions in the north. There are several campgrounds in the park that are first come first served that dont appear on recreation.gov.

Really enjoyed this campground. Stargazing was great here but just note that it's a bit far from the main areas of the park.

Wonderful small-ish campground. Quiet, clean. Water, garbage pickup. Small but interesting visitors center nearby.

Nice, well groomed campground. Sites are generally spacious, though for a travel trailer the odd numbered sites are wide spots in the road and not back in.With many trailers now having roadside slides, most of these sites present safety hazards for RVs with slides. Even numbered sites are all backins and most are double wide so a trailer and tow vehicle can park.

Cottonwood is VERY far from the main attractions of Joshua Tree, I probably would not stay here again. Neighbors were also loud, but campground was fine.

Restrooms clean, and staff friendly and helpful. And best, an evening campfire program by a real Ranger!

I liked it. There's a lot of great hiking you can do right from the campground. Some nights the CG was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. Other nights it was like being at a music festival. Only complaint is that there is just one toilet for each loop so plan on waiting in line. Despite that it was sold out some nights a lot of sites were empty so one night I had absolutely no neighbors.

Actually a nice place but the campground is locked into the 50's. Spaces could use a little more renovation to be able to accommodate vehicles that are modern or up to date. Widen the particular spaces and maybe lengthen a few. Many spaces sit right on the road and deepening the space by 8 feet would work. Also, the site descriptions on the computer could be more accurate in description fro each of the campsites. I had to guess on sites and heard from several other campers that had the same difficulties. Joshua Tree was a place worth visiting!

We were in a 35 foot Motor Coach with slide outs and towing a car. We were able to fit in our 'pull through' spot which is basically a widening of the road that you pull to the side, but be aware that there is not much room to open slide outs. We had a great time. The Oasis Palms hike was interesting and conveniently near the park. The closest phone/internet is a 7 mile drive to I10 highway. Beautiful night skies and mountain views.

Nice desert campground. Plenty of room at the site, enough plant life to maintain privacy.

Very clean and quiet when we were there. Incredible star gazing! The site for an RV is really shared with the road and not truely a site you pull into. We could not put our slide out for fear that it would interfere with passing cars. Overall, a really good stay.
