This was a good campground. The spaces arent too close together, they were a good size, and the bathrooms and water are close by. I like the fact that this is a dark sky campground- no electric lights in the bathrooms and virtually no light coming from the nearby visitor center area. We (I) came for star gazing and telescope observing and it went very well. The only drawback was some campers who stayed up very late being loud and keeping others awake. Aside from that, it was great!

location was great but the parking of a large 35 foot RV was a bit dicey due to uneven terrain. the national park is awesome and worth the inconvenience

Very friendly and helpful campground hosts! Made me feel very welcome. Many thanks. My not five is because of usual campground problems--campfire smoke, noisy neighbors. Beautiful spot.

Great campsite near restroom but not so close for quiet consideration. We have 2 small tents and 1 medium tent which suited the place perfectly. Nice amenities such as table and fire ring. Be aware of checking clothes and sleep systems for cold weather. Then, you will have a wonderful night to sleep with lots of stars!

rv parking spot is not leveled, and trash truck is loud at Sat. 6 am, restroom has no light. Other than that, it is a good campground. Nice place to watch galaxy during new moon.

Nice enough campground but most of the sites are just widespots in the narrow road leaving little room to get even a small RV off the road. Beautiful sky viewing at night!

Very clean campsite with walking trails nearby. The camping area was plenty bug for our 25 ft RV. A fire pit / grill was clean and well placed. A large table that could easily seat 6 adults was clean and sturdy. Pretty sunset as well. Highly recommend. Only drawback is that it is a little out kf the way if you are coming from 29 palms but super close to the freeway.

Great experience , clean , well kept , accessible sites with more space than the other camp sites further north

Away from other campsites and pretty spacious in our spot. Restrooms were close by and we also had a trail near us which was pretty. Waking up to the sunrise and seeing the rocks was awesome! This campground is pretty far if youre coming in from the 10 freeway. Overall, we had a nice stay.

The campground was clean and the landscape was amazing! There was very little privacy though, and no soap or dryers in the restrooms. Parking at the sites was tight and there were so many people there! Campground boasts being dog friendly, but that just really mean that they are allowed there, but not welcome. 6 leash law in effect at all times and they arent allowed on the trails in the area. We had our dogs tethered to our hitch and one couple walking past said, Irresponsible people. Bringing their animals out here to disturb the wildlife... Then we went hiking (2 families, 4 parents, 6 kids) and a couple walking the opposite direction said, Wow. We didnt come all the way out here to hear kids yelling and screaming. So annoying. Mind you, 4 of the kids were climbing on rocks and not near the trail and the other two kids were talking quietly between themselves while they drew in the sand...Anyway- the campground was fine- we would stay there again IF people werent so rude. The camp host was great and the stars were AMAZING!

campground is big and sites are well spaced from one another. the crowds were mostly RVs or CamperVans. we were tenting with the dads and boys. had a blast around the campfire. bathroom is clean but not spotless. wish there were more stalls. can get crowded and busy.
