Close to bathrooms. Bushes gave us some privacy relatively. Area is more than enough and well taken care of (we car camped). Overall it was a pretty good experience.

This review is actually for site 24. I booked site 14 but somehow thought it was site 24. The nice young couple who booked 24 and arrived after dark didnt make us move. We already put up a tent and settled for the night. Thank you so much!!!!All these sites in low even numbers are on the same side as the bathroom. The bathroom needs a bit cleaning but overall the campground is very nice, amazing sunset and thousands of stars at night.

I stayed here for 1 night so I could see this section of Joshua tree National park. And I loved it! The spaces were very large and I could park my teardrop trailer with my car right beside it and had even more space left over.

WE would have appreciated a light on the bathroom which was difficult to find in the dark, and a more level site.We loved the desert and trails.Your reminder emails made us feel welcome!

The hike to the abandoned mine from the campground was really cool! Beautiful location. Perfect scenic stop on our way from Phoenix to the Bay Area.

I liked the campground. The bathroom facilities were fantastic. The water supply was good. There is a lot of exposure to other folks in the campground. Three stars because a dude a few sites down had some loud, disturbing sleep apnea. Nowhere to hide.

I love JT and this is my 4th visit and 2nd time camping. 1st time Black-rock and this time in Cottonwood. Great to explore some of the hikes in this end of the park. Nice to have flush toilets and water. Very clean and people were respectful during quiet hours. Highly recommend. Keep in mind if you plan on hiking in the "Keys" area it is over a 40 mile drive through the park and will take some time, but the beautiful drive never gets old.

The camp sites were a little tight for large RVs and very close to the road. Other then that a cool spot to camp.

Very nice location. Easy access to the Mastadon Peak trail and other beautiful trails. Clean, well maintained rest rooms, which is always a big plus in a park campground. Lax enforcement of generator hours and no-drone rules were a bit of bummer but we'd stay here again anyway.

very nice spacing of camping slots. Not usual boring squares, but some of the desert plants used to create a nice area. Pretty spacious too.

The cleanest campsite I’ve ever been to. Absolutely gorgeous but in the summer it is HOT!

Super beautiful place especially around sunset. I stayed one night but it was terrible due to super strong wind during night. I couldn't sleep at all my tent seemed to be blown away. Tent camper should check the weather and you'd better sleep in your car. Except for that, every thing was just perfect!

This is one of our favorite places to camp in AZ. Clean sanitized restrooms and (mostly) well-spaced sites. Great walks along the river and around the lagoons.

We visited Cottonwood Campground over a holiday weekend. It was really crowded with large groups in both the group campground and the main campground. Luckily we had a reservation. It was very noisy, but at 10pm everything got quiet. The host was great and very knowledgable about the area and the hikes from the campground are very enjoyable.
@YuanF804AFE522 · Camped on Oct 25, 2019 at Campsite #A14
The neighboring camping group was very noisy. It would be helpful if the park ranger intervened. Thanks.
