Pull-in sites are super tight. And very uneven. Bring a lot of leveling blocks. Otherwise, very quiet.

What a gorgeous spot! We chose a pull-in campground for easy access for our travel trailer. Got in late but WOW the next morning opened the door to a beautiful sight. Very well kept campground with potable water, sewer dump and restrooms and lots of walking trails. Loved the fire ring at our campsite. Would definitely stay again. So grateful for our National Parks and campgrounds.

Good size camping area, nice bathrooms, plenty of toilet paper. A little far from more attractive areas in the park but still a great place to settle down and watch the stars at night.

Overall the CG was good. The sites can be small so be sure to choose carefully when reserving. Also note that this is in the southside of the park and away from most of the trails, etc. But still a great place with some good hiking nearby.

The area is very clean and organized. Staffs are very polite and professional. I have to mention that my family enjoys the vacation there very much. Especially the Rancher Show on Saturday in Cottonwood Campground. Rancher Jessie has his heart to prepare the presentation, I can tell from the information of his slide show. Joshua Tree National Park! Good Job!!

The site was not as described. Although the description said the site may not allow slide-outs, it said it was a pull through 10 feet wide. It was not a pull through it is just a wide spot in the middle of the campground road on which all cars/campers must drive by. It was not 10 feet wide, at most it's 8 feet wide. With no slide-outs it felt like we were still attempting to sleep in the road. We reserved 4 nights but left after 1. The description needs to better explain exactly the dimensions. Some of the other pull throughs are wider than 8 feet, but A3 is definitely not.

Lost Palms Oasis is a relatively easy hike that made the stay worth wild. Mastadon Peak is also a must do.

Sites are small and extremely unlevel, and the sites on the exterior side of the loop are parallel to the road, rather than back-in or pull-through. These sites do not accommodate slide-outs, but multiple RV’s and trailers were using slide-outs anyway, extending out into the road. The location is convenient, but if we stay here again (which is unlikely), we will be very selective about which site we choose.

Campground sites are paved but small, trailers and motor homes over 30’ will have difficulty. Facilities were reasonably maintained. Trails and activities are quite limited: there is one hiking trails to an oasis that is worthwhile but that’s it. It is less crowded than the Northern section of the Park but it’s a 40 - 50 mile drive each way to reach the trails and attractions there.

Water spigot and bathrooms were great and dump and water for RVs very nearby. Great trails to take right from the campsite.

Great campground, and a great location. There are several hikes from the campground that are strenuous enough for seasoned hikers, but not so much that novice hikers cannot join in the fun. The place is well maintained and the rangers are helpful and friendly. If you have an RV, the sites are narrow, but we were able to squeeze in. There is no cell service, but the night sky, with no city light pollution, is amazing.
