I had a very nice site, D123 at Prairie Flower Campground this week. I appreciate the paved site and it was fairly shady. The surrounding area was clean and the grass was recently mowed. It was convenient to have water access very close to my site. A big thanks to the Core Engineers for putting in more water lines and access points last year! The sites are well spaced and each one is equipped with a fire ring and picnic table. The D Loop is quiet and the sites are spaced apart nicely which gives you the feel openness and a feel of not having neighbors right on top of you. The Corps also put in additional dump stations which are really nice and easy to get through without having to wait in long lines. I would highly recommend Prairie Flower campground for your next camping stay.

Excellent campground and facilities. Very clean and spacious. Disappointing that it will be closed for the entire 2023 camping season.

Prairie Flower is a very nice campground. The major drawback is their dump station. It is poorly designed. Only have two places to dump, which causes a major back up with when people are trying to leave

beautiful area, my favorite area near my house with lots of shade trees and love the new cement pads for my rv. What I'm very very sad about is the COE plans on cutting down all of the beautiful trees and turn the area into a Prairie. I can't believe they want to remove all of the great shade trees to create a savannah Oak area. I watched all of the birds and critters in the woods and it makes me sad to think they will all lose their homes. I think they should create an oak savannah in the corn fields where the farmers already cut down every tree. I can't believe they have marked the American Elms, black walnuts, and Northern Red Oak trees!!! Why does the Corp of Engineer think this is a good idea>
