We love staying at Cherry Glen and have done so several times this year. We really liked the spot we had. The problem this time was that a very large hornets nest , the size of a volleyball to a basketball, was in the tree right by our spot. We contacted the camp hosts who in turn contacted DNR. They came by and looked at and said someone would be by that evening to take it down after the hornets had settled in for the night. No one showed up til the next morning when the hive was active. They cut it down and left the swarm in the trees. I was stung a couple times before I could get a fire started to smoke them out. Not very happy with the way they handled the situation. Our grandkids were in the next spot and were scared to be around there.

I arrived late w/o a reservation. I called the local number and was told I had to reserve on line during the pandemic. However, there was no internet at the campground so I called the national number and after being on hold for an hour, and yes this was via a call back, (I was called back and then put on hold. ) i was able to get a reservation and go to sleep.

Had issues with a 3rd party mowing company kicking up rocks at our trailer. No damage was done to trailer but I still complained to camp host. A park ranger came by and the mower came by to make everything right. I appreciated their willingness to communicate. Bathrooms were cleaned every day.
