The sites handled my 36 motorhome and towed Jeep.Great views of the Mississippi River and passing tugboats and barges. Wildcat State Park is close by and well worth a visit.

We were booked to stay three nights but only stayed one That itself says a lot. Positives were the river location and clean facilities. Also the campground host was helpful and friendly. The bigest negative and the reason for leaving early were the outdoor lights other campers seem to think they need. As my wife put it " If they are that afraid of the dark they should stay home" . The camper next to us had strips of blue LED lights laid out on the ground around their camper and the one behind us had flashing red and blue LED lights around theirs. We felt like we were being pulled over by the airport security on the runway, and they were on ALL NIGHT! As there is a quiet time for noise, there should be a lights out time for decorative lighting. Also a minor disapointment that probably can't be heiped is that the river has been low for so long and the vegatation on the bank grown up so much some of the nice view is obstructed

Shady Creek is a very quiet campground. Nice bathroom facilities. Large sites, cement. Great fire pits. Close by water hydrants.Activities we enjoy while at Shady Creek: hiking at Wildcat Den State Park nearby, kayaking on the river, (boat ramp in the campground) drive into Muscatine to dine, parks for walking, waterfront boardwalk, museum of pearl button industry.Best thing is the Muscatine County Environmental Learning Center! Also there Arboretum. We enjoy Shady Creek, one of our favorite campgrounds!

The camp hosts are very nice and keep the grounds looking beautiful. We love how quiet and relaxing it is there.

We camped at site 13 along the river, mostly shady throughout the day minus a few hours in the afternoon. Lots of transportation commerce both in rail and barge traffic to keep things interesting. The shower house was adequate although its in need of in update.

We had the most wonderful experience at this campground. Friendly people, campsites were very roomy, not right on top of each other and, the most beautiful view of the Mississippi River. We most certainly would go back there if we were in the area.

We visited on the first day of the season. The crew was hard at work mowing and clearing storm damage. While we were filling up our water tank, a worker asked which site we were on. He then went right over and cut our site and the neighboring sites first, and was done by the time we got to the site. The facilities at this location were fully functioning and clean during our entire stay.

This is my favorite camping ground to go camping the host is awesome the view is fantastic watching the barges go up and down the river its so peaceful and quite love the smell of people cooking food on a open fire and go for walks and meeting new people

Shady creek has great host wonderful view of the river cement pads lawn is mowed everything is keep up really nice this is my favorite place to go camping

Beautiful campground, clean facilities, awesome view of Mississippi. One of our favorite campgrounds so far in our short time as RVers.

Interesting campground on the Mississippi. Nice view from our site. We enjoyed watching the barges. Restrooms were ok. Old, but clean. Typical of COE.

Great bike riding trails from Beautiful Weed park in nearby Muscatine and from Credit Island in Davenport. Campsite right off the river for watching barges. Biting Gnats but no mosquitoes. 99% locals in campground, very friendly but dont use leashes on their dogs.

I love camping here it is just amazing the view is awesome love the barges plus the host is so awesome so nice and quite lots of shade trees and a nice breeze off the river so relaxing I love this camping ground
