This campground is absolutely lovely! The parking pads are huge, level and concrete slabs. They all have 50 AMP electric and a cute box with a night light. Its right on the river where you can take a walk up and down. Theres also a small boat dock you can use for fishing or small water rec toys. The playground and gazebo are a nice feature. The shower area and facilities are well maintained and clean. The staff is absolutely lovely. Great location close to Wildcat Den State Park and Muscatine! Highly recommend this campground if youre in the area or considering coming out this way!

We stay here frequently visiting kids. Liked the new electrical upgrades. The mud was not so much fun though. Hopefully there will be grass next year.

We enjoyed our stay at Shady Creek so much this time that we have made reservations for later this year when we will return to Muscatine for a reunion. We always like staying here because it is right on the Mississippi River and it is close to town. Very well maintained campground!

Great place to camp- The host are great people and will go the extra mile to help out any needs. The only thing is the boat dock area needs dredged as there isn’t enough water to put your boat in and out. I have sent the core messages regarding this issue with no response 🤷‍♂️

Beautiful view from campground! Flower beds near bathroom and wildflower area poorly taken care of. Bathrooms not very clean and very poor ventilation. Showers were designed for shower curtains and none available. Try and get dressed on wet floor.

Very nice campground on the banks of the Mississippi River. Nice long level concrete pads. The park is spotless and the grass is mowed. The only negative thing is the docks need to be dredged out as there is about 6” of water for 200 ft in all directions. We could not use the docks. Instead we used the state park (16 ft of water at docks) 3 miles away to launch and retrieve the boat.

We really like Shady creek, but some improvements needed are ventilation fan in the shower houses (it was very hot and steamy in there) the river front needs dredged. (Can't put a boat in at the ramps and can't really fish from the bank there. It's all a mud bar in front of there.)
