This is a small, well kept location with a great view.of the Mississippi River, a boat ramp and very nice camp hosts. There is a lot of close train traffic noise at times. If loud noise bothers you then you might reconsider.

Pleasant quiet campground alongside the Mississippi River. Until a train goes by on the nearby mainline train tracks. 8 to 10 trains a day.

Campground hosts are friendly and helpful. Nice weather helped make my stay a pleasant one again. Midweek stays are quiet mostly due to about 50% empty spots.

Clean restrooms. However, the showers didn't work but one day in my 11 day stay. Before they quit working, the water pressure was a drip. Overall, the campground was well maintained. Don't buy your wood there; it is substandard wood. Jump on 22 and head towards Muscatine (west). There is a house on the right that has a stack of firewood for cheaper and you get more. It's a cash/honor box system there. I give less stars because of the train. The train track that is located 20 feet from the campground is highly active. There is a train that passes through every 35 minutes to an hour, 24 hours a day. It is near a crossing so it is blasting the horn every time. If you don't sleep deeply or have thin walls in your camper, be aware of this. Lots of flies at the camp site. Carry fly traps with you. I wouldn't do water sports in the river in front of this campground. The water has a sewage/septic smell to it; maybe from city waste just upriver.Local stuff to do. Tavern 61 in Blue Grass Taco Tuesday is awesome. Davenport Farmer's Market was fun and had many items at reasonable pricing. Wildcat Den State Park is a must see. Cool trail with a cave. Tycoga Winery just north of Davenport was fun.

We really enjoyed this COE despite the fact that our site was in full sun! There are some shaded sites, we just didn't get one! We were on site 30 and had electric. We filled up our tank with water when we arrived. There are some train horns, but not too terribly bad. There is a dump station. Hosts are great and very forthcoming with information. We had picnics at nearby Buffalo Shores and highly recommend. We also witnessed a baptism at Deep Lake Park. It was very nice! Incidentally, tornado sirens go off on Mondays at 11AM

A great site in the Mississippi, quiet and relaxing. It was a perfect stop over on our journey West.

Site 10 is best for river view but has no shade. Nice concrete pads. Train rules next to CG frequently but you do get used to it. Camp hosts are present and congenial. Bath house is excellent with each of the 4 having a complete 3 pc bathroom with shower. Lockable door from outside. Every CG should have shower/bathrooms like this. Nothing directly in town. Blue Grass has small grocer. Everything else is in Davenport. Fun to go to Worlds Largest Truck Stop on nearby rt 80. Welhen we were there the Mayflied were swarming which was quite gross. Ypu need to clean them off your RV, awnings and vehicle so they don't bake on. CG is quiet and other campers respectful. Starlink was just OK, not great at this location.

VERY NICE CAMP GROUND WITH A NICE BOAT RAMP, AND VERY CLEAN SHOWERS & BATHROOMS AND A GREAT VIEW OF THE RIVER. IF YOU DON'T DON'T LIKE TRAIN WHISTLES, YOU MAY NOT CARE FOR THAT, BUT MY HUSBAND AND I LIVE CLOSE TO THE TRAIN TRACKS AND WE DIDN'T MIND IT AT ALL.

Great COE on the Mississippi. Too bad there arent any trails or hiking from the campground. Fun to watch the barges and white pelicans float by. Nice paved sites and roadways. They take great care of the grounds.
@GaryS1862766 · Camped on Jun 15, 2025 at Campsite #39
Nice quiet campground. Mostly older couples due to not much for kids to do. Boat dock next door makes it a nice place for fisherman to camp.

Nice campground. Showers need better water pressure.

Bathrooms at this campground is the best of all the Campgrounds in this area. It is well maintained and the Hostess is very friendly. The view is priceless of the Mississippi.

First time campers so nothing to compare to. Very quiet and peaceful campground. Clean bathrooms. Two small playgrounds with volleyball/grass area. Train came by once through the night and was not an issue. We explored wild cat den during the day and it was very nice to be close by after.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
